Some great songs so far from what I've heard.
I have listened to about 15 if them so far. Gotta listen to the rest today and tomorrow, have to get ready to vote soon.

More developers need to get on this:
This is really great publicity for plugins... if we can find people who have great plugins for windows, and can get them to port to mac... they will get many many demos.

Stuffed with Vitamin D..
Very good idea to get top PC only synths to be ported to Mac, but I guess that means either buying a rig or handing the code over to someone who has, and both might be difficult for a developer. But fast running out of cross-platform options so might hear what some developers says about it.

Maybe everyone can chip in with ideas.
For example we can tell the developer he can use our songs on his site or something as Demo songs.

My first submission to KVR OSC.
DAW: Reaper x64
Effects: ReaEQ x1 for the hi-hat sound. Tried to refrain from using effects since it's a one synth contest
Podolski: 13 instances
Had so many ideas that I wanted to implement but just couldn't find enough time from work.
Any and all criticism is welcome.[/url]

I don't know if I'll have time for this one as I'm very busy with summer classes but I did decide to muck about in Reaper for a short bit anyways. Here's a simple short sketch of some ideas I had using the podolski vst. https://soundcloud.com/enzor/podolski-experimentation

Ask V'ger. I don't think its in the rules to email every developer OSC is using their synth. We just pick a synth for the month. As Urs said previously, he only saw OSC52 after the fact.idfpower wrote:Huhbjporter wrote:Maybe everyone can chip in with ideas.

I mean who would say "I've just made a song with your awesome freebie, thanks but you're not allowed to use it in case you'd like to" ?
What I'm proposing here is that a developer could port his plugin to mac with anticipation, in an agreement to use with OSC once it's working properly. With his effort, of course he could use the songs as demos.
Thanks, and have a good day

Surely though if its that easy they would have already done it.bjporter wrote:Ask V'ger. I don't think its in the rules to email every developer OSC is using their synth. An OSC is hardly going to be the incentive required.

Come on people trying to be positive and optimistic here

Also maybe we can look around for new developers who want to put something on their resume as a project. Even as a university project. I could have done that for my senior year - you just ask your senior professor if he will accept doing a plugin port for your senior project, and if he accepts it, you must finish it by the time your schooling ends.
There are many universities, and I know a lot of programmers are electronic nerds.

It can be a team project too... like 3 people ... each sharing source code, and working etc.bjporter wrote:Come on people trying to be positive and optimistic here![]()

Thanks... if we keep moaning about a port IT WILL HAPPEN!!! But of course thinking of more intelligent ways to get it done works best I guess.Mushy Mushy wrote:^ Ok cool.

It's not a rule, obviously, but my point was that getting the maker of an instrument you've used to create a good song with to aknowledge your work and display it on their product page would be rewarding & honouring enough in itself, so who would say no, right? After all, you're getting not only a freebie VST, but also exposure (not tomention juicy prizes if you're among the top participants) so it's a win-win situationbjporter wrote:Ask V'ger. I'd agree to donate my songs created for OSC - the same way the developers do with their entries in the DC

Right now, I can find only one submission of custom presets for Podolski here on the KVR Audio web site: http://www.kvraudio.com/product/podolsk ... /downloads
A bunch of quality custom presets were created as a by-product of this contest (you can hear them prominently in the submissions).
After the contest is over, would any of you contestants be willing to contribute your best new, custom Podolski presets to the KVR community -- as part of a special collection commemorating this OSC?
I think that closing out an OSC in this fashion would have been a greatly appreciated (and a greatly anticipated) feature of the contests. What synth enthusiast doesn't want more great sounds for their synths? So many decent soft synths were featured in the previous 50+ OSCs; just imagine an OSC synth preset collection commemorating each of them, here on the KVR Audio website.
