Nice video, that's the kind of product demonstration I really like.

I just miss an example on a Hip-Hop track ;).

YEP!!!

I'll have to forward that suggestion too, thanks!

I use it on hip hop. This is a beat I did for youtube commentator Nick Smith where I used it. I prefer the SSL model that IK has but I really like this too.

Thanks for the examples, KevWestBeats. I also thought some that get notified about this thread might be interested in the T-RackS Grand discounted upgrade special in Custom Shop Month (good only until September 5th) too http://ikmultimedia.com/csmonth

I'm wondering how good the Precision Compressor would be to glue things together on this kind of Hip-Hop songs, with a big round and punchy kick, and the "classic snare" sound.

This is the kind of song I really dig, which is well mixed, everything sits at its place and is enjoyable to listen to.

INDEED!!! i Wish developers would do this more often...Hip Hop is a very competitive genre n developers should include it to show what their products can do with it n not look down/Exclude it(some more presets would b nice too) or whatever on this art form in 2013...Rock is Kool but there r other genres too!

We definitely understand and the folks that do videos thought it was a great suggestion so hopefully we can get some videos out using some hip hop material. http://www.t-racks.com

Have just bought this compressor and have to say I think I have a new favourite!

It seems to add definition and punch and when on a bus fits all the background instruments neatly in place, it's very forgiving on my mixing :D

I also got the ik bus compressor with this and it seems a nice combination to run first into precision then into bus to thicken things up a bit.

As I think bmanic mentioned in this thread, a nice addition would be to be able to get more precise values between the hardware defined ones with a modifier key or something. However some nice compressors!

On the custom shop side of things I had to get the pencil and paper out to convert credits on top of currency conversions, to work out the best deal. So another vote for being shown your native currency (including VAT would be nice too).
