Haha. No. "Bazille" means "bacteria" in German.
Alrighty then, not even close but i had to ask! :)

Bugette in the current initialize preset: LFO Amp Mod (knob in bottom right corner of LFO module) is currently assigned to Mod Wheel and set to 100%. Click the "ModWhl" label and set to "none", or turn value down to 0.

OSC1 is also used for Vibrato, see "Tune Control" section on "Tweaks & FX" page, turn it down to 0 to avoid unwanted LFO vibrato.

The initialize preset also doesn't "remember" FX, so if you switch from a preset that uses FX back to the initialize preset, the FX stay active.

We already improved the initialize preset regarding these small "things", a new version including these fixes should be out within the next days. :)
Thanks this will improve the patch making.

The oscillator muting is a great feature suggestion. That would help me also.

MikeCallon wrote:Hi Urs,

This isn't strictly related to the Bazille beta, but every time I try to enter the user name & serial, Sonar X3 (64Bit) reads these as keyboard shortcuts ... so I can enter "Pu" (as in "Public Beta"), but then "b" hides the Sonar browser !

It's as though the dialog for the user name & serial doesn't take the focus and Sonar processes the keystokes as the (built in) shortcuts.

This has happened on all my other U-HE software in Sonar as well (I own the lot :D) ... luckily I also use Live so I can register it via Live and then all is fine. Any ideas with this ... it only happens in Sonar and only with U-HE plugins (not a show stopper by any means, but just wanted to make somebody aware of it).

Is there an 'official' route for reporting things like this ? (never had an issue I needed to report before :D)

Mike
Hey Mike,

would it work when simply using copy/paste?

Cheers,

Ctrl+V doesn't work at all - not on the popup preset dialog anyway - looks like Sonar steals this as well :? (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V seem to copy & paste whatever is selected in Sonar ... midi clip, whole track etc!)
I've had this issue with Sonar for years. Yes, Sonar is greedy with keystrokes. The solution is to load the U-he plug-in into a different VST host, then enter the serial #s. I use SaviHost, which is very simple, easy to use, and free.

Yep, comb filtering isn't available in Bazille. There are no per-voice delay lines.

There will be delay lines in Berlin Modular though - once we make this efficient enough to be processed polyphonically in realtime.
Maybe the flanger unit can be tweaked a little as a compromise (filter matrix)?

Forgive me if this has already been answered, but how do you replace the beta serial # with a purchased serial?

Under Bazille.data\Support you should find a file named "com.u-he.Bazille.user.txt". Just open and edit the userinfo, first line = username and serial on second line. That's on Windows though, not sure on Mac and can't find the post that explained how right now but someone from u-he made it all pretty clear the other day...

Thanks, i see the post from Urs on page 5 of this thread now that I could search on the right terms.
You don't have to reinstall btw. - just delete the following file to "unregister":

Win: Vstplugins/Bazille.data/Support/com.u-he.Bazille.user.txt
Mac: MacHD/Users/You/Library/App…Support/com.u-he.Bazille.plist
Which works a treat.

Right-click the input field and choose Paste from the popup menu.

hahaha... good idea. Haven't tried that with Logic, where I have issues with (re)naming patches when saving them.

Great synth, I just bought it!

I've noticed a clicking on when retriggering a long envelope sound via midi. Perhaps you can hear it by dialing up the "Bronto_Scorpio-Bazille_test - BS Panning Sweep" patch. In poly mode, I hear a fast click at the onset of the sound when I repeatedly press a single key, for example with a slow quarter note. I think this is associated with the long envelope and running out of allocated voices. If I increase the number of voices from 2 to 8 or above, the click goes away with a repeated quarter note, but will appear again if I go to eight or sixteenth notes.

Is this normal or a little glitch ? Of course increasing the number of voices chews up more CPU cycles.

Thanks!

Post

We're working on these glitches - a new build is rather imminent (tomorrow?) and it'll fix some :)

Great, thanks!

By the way, if I buy ACE to go with Bazille, can I patch cables between them to increase the size of my modular ?
