What is the Modulator, cc , and Dynamic velocity feature on the step sequencer ?
I know that the sequencer can be used as a Modulation Source from the Mod Matrix with ,Seq Gate as Source and using Velocity on the step sequencer to modulate a parameter. But what is the separate Modulator tab for and cc, on the step sequencer?
Not able to figure it out ??

I am having a tremendously splendid time with Hive - I love it. Extremely easy and quick to program. Definitely buying. Here are some patches:

Dynamic Velocity will combine the velocity of held notes with the velocity values in the sequencer. Turn it off and only the Sequencer values are used.

Modulator Mode does not re-trigger notes so you can use it as a step modulator (Arp off). The CC lane is where you set the modulation step values and select which mod source to use... Modwheel, Aftertouch, Expression etc. Then you can use that source in the Mod Matrix with whatever targets you wish.

It's a preview. We'll have the user guide ready for the final version, hopefully in January

Testing how people can cope without a manual is also part of the exercise - we'll identify areas that need extra explanation, or a better ui.

As ive said before... I was positive HIVE would inspire me, and it does! Im patch making newbie, but HIVE made me start from scratch. Here is the simplest example of the simplest possible patch in hive

Hive problems to report with Cubase LE4 and Mac OSX 10.6.8 (thankful Hive works in my old set up, unlike some competitors):

Key gets stuck on when I press key on virtual gui keyboard........oh wait, when I removed the track of Hive from Cubase and opened a new track of Hive that problem stopped.

Thanks, I'm happy you like them. I have no plans currently, these are just noodlings, and building blocks for some tracks in the future really.
