They use different techniques to do so. The fixed saw is extremely CPU efficient because it does what it does, and the wavetable engine simply can't do that, hence uses a bit more CPU.

I was gonna get Zebra 2, but might wait for zebra 3 as I have a feeling it'll be very different.

It wasn´t only Sascha that left.... Urs said something about another employee who joined Sascha shortly after he left... Maybe we see a new DSP-Company rising in the near future...

i think there's an upgrade path
It was around 30$ from Zebra2 to Zebra3, free from Zebra2HZ to Zebra3.
Unless something has changed of course...

LOL, no. The other dev who vanished from our team page (before Sascha) is our former master student who understandably was gonna explore the big wide world of corporate hamster wheels out there.

Both remain in audio, but neither remain in the plug-in business as far as I know.

So i have a question, will Zebra 3 cover the bases of Zebra HZ ? Such as the filters etc.
I'm wondering whether to purchase HZ while the sale is on. Otherwise i can wait for Zebra 3, i'm in no rush.
