If they have only 6 employees, they would get their butts licked here...chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:06 pmWow. You'd think they have 6, the way their stuff is "appreciated" here.EvilDragon wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 4:37 pmCloser to 600 now.chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 1:57 pm They have about 400 employees. Yep Kontour is indeed fully automatable.martinjuenke wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:18 pmKontour is fully automatable in Logic Pro. Perhaps Bitwig is the bad boy here...

if youre going to lick a companies employees butts, youre probably going to go with as few employees as possible

The point was that there's a certain discrepancy between NI's reputation here, and NI's reputation among people who do music. Otherwise they wouldn't have 600 employees, and they weren't the biggest player in the business either (which i can safely say now).vurt wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:14 pmthat's an odd way to look at things?chk071 wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:06 pm Wow. i love nis stuff (ok im still on 11 but not because i don't think its worth it, but because ive barely scratched 11s surface) but not because they have x number of employees![]()
I guess it's rather "kissed" in English. We Germans say "licked".AnX wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:25 pmtypo?martinjuenke wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:21 pm

Don’t worry they’ll fix it if you pay 169$ for the new point update.martinjuenke wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 5:18 pmKontour is fully automatable in Logic Pro. Almost nothing in Kontour is automatable.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 3:50 pmExactly. There are plenty of issues with a synth being Reaktor based beyond an extra click to load. I save my templates in my host presets so that doesn’t matter at all. But I like to use automap for example and Reaktor ensembles are all the same plugin so you can’t map them differently. And then all the other stuff you mentioned like non resizable GUI etc which is getting pretty rare these days, mpe etc, so it’s weird for such a huge company with so much money to be kind of behind the times.pdxindy wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 3:32 pm
It is more like 3 extra mouse clicks... but I don't care about the 3 extra clicks either...
It is the poor browser, poor preset handling, non resizable GUI, no MPE, inconsistent behaviors between ensembles such as many random parameters (Osc 1 PWM knob) not automatable in Rounds, or automation parameter names in Prism all starting with the same term so when you assign them to macros you get a whole bunch of macros with the same name... and so on. And of course there is a significant CPU hit, even without notes playing.
Down in the Devices pane, the Bitwig shell only says Reaktor 6 so if the GUI is closed, I don't know which ensemble is loaded.
There are lots of little oddities that hinder a smooth workflow.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

man, with that many employees, you'd think they wouldn't have to resort to bait and switch tactics to get people to buy stuff (with Maschine Jam, Song Layer & Performance Recording were 2 features that were never delivered by NI, even though they said the features were "just about ready" a couple weeks before the Jam hit the streets) two and a half years ago
my newest sounds:

i suppose with the number of employees, if we ever go down the "hand to hand combat to the death" to see which is the best plugin company, they will have some advantage.

It looks like Massive x's lovechild.v1o wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 4:51 pmMassive X is due next month.Hemmick Reef wrote: Fri May 03, 2019 12:32 pm Is this a sort of simple pre-runner to Massive X to test the waters?
What does this have in common with Massive X?
