tq wrote: Sun Nov 19, 2023 9:40 pm O.k., maybe I am missing something - but is there a way to add Midi cc's to the controls somehow - at least the macro knobs? Using the mouse for this is not ideal, and I don't seem to find a way to do this - it's easy to drop modulators, but no cc?
I wondered the same thing -- especially the Macro Knobs. Checked with their Tech Support - there is not a way to do this. Since it's a plugin only (no stand-alone), Minimal assumes you'll map CC controls inside the DAW. For example with Logic, using Smart Controls. This does work ok, but my preference is to still have the ability to map CC controls inside the plugin (similar to U-He's approach).
Mine too.. I brought it up earlier and I think he said they will look into it.
vst3 initially didn't allow it but they added the ability to a few years ago.

Where it says "Access to all (8) standalone Current effect plugins." does that mean just within the app or as separate plugins as well?

Post

I think rto get access to both once their plan is active and the perpetual get full access to both for the first year and only from within current thereafter.

The All Access package includes three stand-alone effects: (1) Fuse Compressor; (2) Cluster Delay; and (3) Morph EQ. It does not include Rift (which is currently on sale at Plugin Boutique for $64 - 50% off).

Thanks - why does it say all 8 then? Is that maybe planned? The BF sale is making me debate whether to get Rift now or wait a bit and get it with the RTO if that comes.

I believe there are more Effects to come in the near future (within Current) - not sure which if any will be stand-alone effects, as well? I ping'd Minimal Support before purchasing Rift at the aggressive discount. I asked if Rift would be included in the All Access package at some point. Their answer was no. So if you want Rift, sounds like it's a separate purchase.

It would be good to clarify that - since "Access to all (8) standalone Current effect plugins" makes it sound like Rift would be included.

also - there are 8 FX listed for current, and Rift is one of them

which makes it look like Rift would be included.

I love Minimal's plugins and I've been having a blast with Current but boy do they make it confusing for people.

Everything seems to have some kind of oddly specific stipulation.

I own everything in terms of effects and also have a permanent Current license but if I were starting out I'd be as confused as hell.

Ok, I am just realising something, does it mean that the effects are not part of Current ????

It seems to be the case. So basically, the 8 effects inside the effect rack of Current are lost after the year all access is purchased ?

If it is the case, I think it is the first time that I would have felt so ripped off by a plug-in vendor...

Do you at least still get full access inside of Current, or is it like Phase Plant where you'll have to buy the non-free effects just to edit them inside the synth?

That's what I am trying to figure out... In the website they say :
Included with perpetual:
Full Integrated Effects Rack
Standalone effects are available for purchase separately.

So I would assume than the plugin effects are included and the standalone effects are .... standalone. So not as plugin but external to the synth.

But then there is this very weird page:
https://www.minimal.audio/current-all-access-products

Which let me think that no. The effects are not included...

I am lost...

I think the effects rack is built into Current. If you want to use an effect as a separate plugin, it requires a different licence. Perpetual just gives you a licence for all the products.

This is correct.... I think....

If you look at the perpetual license it says it includes the effect rack as part of the plugin.

I don't think it means the effects in current stop being usable. Just the standalone ones.

Also isn't there upcoming Filter plugin the same as (or at least very similar to) the filter section in Rift?

Ok, I did some archeological work and found this.

So indeed, false alert, we keep the effects even after the licence is switched to perpetual.
