being rude is not the intention,
thanks Urs for putting up with it.
appreciate it.

No worries, you had some constructive criticism imo, I referred to others, like..

How does Zebra3's CPU consumption act when running projects at 96khz compared to 48khz?
Is it as simple as doubling it?

No. The most draining modules (e.g. filters, oscillators) will run the most expensive parts at a constant rate. Filters will simply oversample half as much at 96kHz while the oscillators keep their resolution at 200/800/2400 Hz.

There will be some extra CPU consumption for all the parts that don't need oversampling or anything, but it won't just double at 96khz.

Great, thanks.

Hello Urs! I don't know if you got my e-mail, I'm double checking here because I had some issues with my e-mail service recently. It was about a proposal for giving some extra visibility to the release of Zebra 3, you'll tell me if you are interested ;) Good luck to the whole team!

When we are in control view we can see the position of control A, B, c and D but only on this screen.

Would it be possible to display the value on top of the screen of one of these controls when we move the related physical midi controler ?

Yes I would like this too - and to see in the host the ctrl assigned name if it has one, not 'ctrl a' etc

On the Korg MS10 and MS20, there was a very useful setting which was the Hold Time, simulating a long hold of a key.

Maybe it could be implemented in the "Vary I: unipolar extras" of the Enveloppe ?

Performance IS better. The new skin is fantastic. And workflow speed is at least twice as fast with all these fantastic new routing shortcuts and hints.
Making a performance-ready patch is one, hot, and fast piece o' cake now.
Only gripe is the new load time for the UI, which is easily more than twice as slow than the previous beta. At this rate, I know you guys will get that ironed out, though.

All hail u-he.

Keep in mind, once released, the factory library will move out of that beta folder, and favourite markings are lost. Some presets will be renamed too.
Thanks alots ! That`s very kind of you.

Zebra3 sounds awesome ! So Great work !

+1 on the presets from "sounds of Merlin". Top Notch

If it hasn't already been mentioned - For EQ modules that are operating in Mid/Side mode, it would be good, I think, to have some additional visual feedback when it comes to panning. For instance, register the Mid offset as one color, and Side as another, or something like that. The diametric offsets look ambiguous.

First of all, thanks for the new version.
I have to say I have mixed feelings about the new interface. While I do prefer darker (and fewer) colours, I'm not a fan of how the interface is much harder to read.
I'll take the oscillator module for example.
The old version have much more distinct buttons, their position is more harmonious within the panel, selections pop out more and there was a priority of informations, and every modifier was in its own "zones, where the relative controls are all tidied up with adjacent controls that make sense to be there, and that's where the eye would go when I think about one of them, be it pitch or phase.

And that's just one module.

I really do appreciate the tireless work you put into this amazing tool I've been using for countless years, but I think the new changes are a symptom of exactly having to work too much on it and getting used to what worked. I do understand some necessities but sometimes (just like music itself) trying to improve something too much is detrimental to the efficacy of what was born out of instinct, because trying to improve something doesn't necessarily lead to something better. The gradient background for buttons plays against visual clarity, and I would have never thought to see them again, especially if the background is greyscale under a light grey text.

It kinda saddens me looking ungrateful but I generally never say much about development and let devs do their thing, as I think most people know nothing about UI/UX design and want a product (aimed at a larger audience) to fit their own niche, but for once I also want voice my personal opinion as I think the interface was on the right track, and I'm not biased by habit because by now I've spent enough time with the new skin.
It would suck to have to wait for someone like plugmon or drzhnn to make another version in order to bring the enjoyment of programming sounds with Z3 where it should be imo.

There was some chatter, I do not know details. But we're all in a state of emergency and we do not have any marketing material yet...
