Most of the plugins from Brainworx are on sale at Plugin Alliance, but not the one that I want, the bx_xl_v2. Does anyone know how often it goes on sale, and when?

As this wasn't on sale for some time, I'm quite sure it will be in their Holiday Calendar, between Dec. 1st and 24th.

I'm pretty sure the Plugin Alliance plugins I want will be on sale in December, but since I'm not 100% sure and similar or possibly better plugins were being offered for BF, I went with their competitors. The psychological pull of the voucher would have inclined me to choose PA instead... though perhaps I should move beyond being influenced by that sort of thing.

Sample from mars downloads are taking a looooooooong time. Anyone else getting slow downloads? You think it's due to BF?

Had a pretty good speed (one file after another), maybe country specific peaks?
I wonder why they go for Amazon hosting and not for a cloud solution?

MM is nice enough, and it has some good features like the constantly changing freestyle mode, but if you feel you may want more from a helper app, it's worth checking out rapidcomposer. That's 33% off until the 30th - $133 for the full - and that does a shed load more: http://www.musicdevelopments.com

It's worth persevering with the interface if that puts you off initially, as you can go as deep or shallow as you want/need. I wish I'd done this sooner rather than buying a bunch of lighter-weight helper apps, as it would have saved me money.

Im in the same situation and it seems to have not gotten lower and not many at all carry this plugin

Rapid composer seems more complex and great but too fiddly for my taste and ugly. Im a sucker for nicer guis and workflow and not a 2nd daw....

so with FabFilter Pro-Q 2 on sale, but still more expensive than kiloHearts Slice EQ, I'm not sure which one to go for.
From what I read they share most features and some says the Slice EQ produces a better sound (?)...

Kilohearts does have some discount on AudioDeluxe and JRRshop, just been looking at it

You could also get the full TDR bundle for less than the cost of Q2 and many seem to swear by Nova being better than Q2

I'm in the same boat as you trying to find a good EQ there's just too much choice and no wrong answer on what is best

I can upgrade to the Works from Kilohearts for 50$ to get Slice EQ, Carve EQ and KHS One.

Maybe the mixedinkey Captin plugins will suit you, simplified compared to RC but still powerful and reasonably priced, some of the Windows versions are still to be released but you'll receive them when they are.
