What seems like a real limitation in software is much less of a limitation in hardware. The real hardware is very similar in operation to an ESQ-1 where buttons take you to the hardware pages and then you have knobs for the functions on that page. With software, everything is so much slower and two clicks away. I think that they wanted to be really close to the orginal, but, to me, it's a bit pointless in software. The entire point of that interface in hardware is because knobs are expensive. It's a better solution than the single knob and button per function interface of, e.g., the DX-7.

I've ranted about this before, but, basically, I think that Arturia has to err on the side of emulation. If they changed it too much people wouldn't think that it's the same as the original. I think that it would be a better synth with a modern interface, better synth and sells more don't always go hand in hand.
Ah, I get it. I've owned the SQ-80 and TS-10 so I know that interface paradigm. The 12 v is confusing though because it seems to have that matrix and then another... Just give me one comprehensive mod matrix and make sure your engine emulation is top notch and I'll forgive you for having to look at something that's clear and easy to use. :hihi:

Nice one. Tried to upgrade using a perfectly valid credit card. I got a .5 second error message and an email saying my transaction was cancelled. I figured I'd try PayPal instead and realized that my cancelled transaction used my coupon code. I'm sure I could deal with customer support to get another code, but I'm going to say, "F it." I've got a lot of software. Saved myself $199.

Why is sustain control via sustain pedal (cc 64) still not supported on many Arturia's plugs in V5? This has been an outstanding request for years on synths like Solina and Matrix (Arturia support have responded in the past that it would be 'Added to the list').

Usability/Playability of these plugs is diminished by the lack consistent Midi behavior here. It even 'sounds' wrong when you try to sustain layered plugs (e.g. in Analog Lab) when one of the plugs does not support sustain pedaling.

I've requested an option for instruments like Matrix12V and Solina which do not respect CC64 and indefinitely sustain volume envelopes. Others users have repeated my request.

So why does Arturia resist this request?

Thanks, Regards,
Kevin L
It's never a good sign of respect towards the customer and relationship building when DEVS avoid answering serious and pointed questions like this. Quite a few devs do that, and they only answer simple or "nice" questions on forums.

A good sign is when the DEV can show some balls and commit to fixing long standing problems. When they can engage with their customers, show humility and even joke around with them. That's how things move forward, none of this standoffishness.

I was working a remix of the track I posted earlier. It uses a number of Collection 4 VAs. while bouncing a master I downloaded and tried the demos of the new ones in 5 as well as mini V2. In the end I bought the upgrade. I saw the upgrade on audio deluxe before the emails were sent out and when I put it in my cart the price was $167. I deferred the decision to puchase until now and the discount is not applied but I got a $30 credit at AD. they maybe didnt have their system set up right for this. too bad.

The new GUIs looks and function amazingly well. one of my pain points with 4 were the UIs. I think with these great new interfaces I will use them more. you know for 3 years I've had an automatic search for "synclavier" on ebay. in that time I've not gotten one notification! so for me the synclavier is a huge benefit. I love the sound of that synth. plus the new electro mechanical instruments that sound very nice.

Arturia contacted all resellers and the result is no automatic discount anymore.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Is anyone else getting blank GUIs? Downloaded this... and now they are all either white or black. Have to problem solve instead of making music now.

Thank god, I was about to impulse buy, now I'll wait and see if it's really worth it.

Kind of reverse marketing I guess...

Totally worth it . better sounding more instruments and resizable Guis on the new versions .All working spot on here.Did take considerable time to download though.

Anyone else getting the 'not activated' dialogue coming up briefly when first loading these in a host? - just for a second or 2 on first load, then it seems to find the activation and afterwards I'm OK loading any of them.

Anyone else in the same boat?
No got my serial and receipt straight away but it did take a long time to download the new collection..probably limited to reduce server load.Very impressed with the upgrade. The elves have been busy

They are activated properly - but it seems to forget that briefly when being loaded in a host.

Couple of bugs in Analog Lab - loading the full edit window for the Modular patch "Berliner" silences the patch

The Arp patch 'Polite" won't stop playing once you have played a note.

Some bugs in ARP2600V as well. When I change the preset (even after stop playing and the sound is faded away), there is a strong burst in the sound when changing to some presets (especially to the old ones, like some sequences by Tim Conrardy (RIP)), so everyone be careful and lower the main volume (I have it at -10dB and it bursts to +3dB in Bitwig).
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Just venting: I have V-Collection Classics. The only update route to me is getting V-Collection 5, for 249 (a nice discoun indeed). But I'm a poor man, I just would like to have the new GUIs of the plugins that I have. Talked with the support, twice. There's no upgrade path to me except the expensive one, 249. :dog:
