Your voice gives me big Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, and Leon Russell vibes.
Many paid and free VSTs as well as Kontakt libraries. As well as HW synths/drum machine and acoustic instruments.

Lot of mentions of Boney M. I listened to Rivers Of Babylon and I just don't hear it. Oh well, must be the case if more than one person brought them up. Just wonder what it is I'm missing.

im pretty sure theyd tell you that themselves.

I didn't take it to mean either. I listened to them and I thought they were very good at what they do. I just don't hear the similarity between them and me. Is it the song structure, the instrumentation, the production? Throw me a bone here.

Not the vocals, your vocals are more Tom Waits and Leon Russell-ish.

But the drum pattern sounds similar, and the intro gives me Agadoo vibes.

as to why that one song has a boney m quality, it was less "chikka wah" chic type guitars, boney m where not at the funky side of disco, with strutting like saturday night fever, even earth wind and fire have a smoothmess about them.
but boney m to me where a little more rigid, they didnt "flow" so well.

(at least as far as the big hits, babylon and brown girl in the ring, i dont know their work otherwise)

the other tracks so far, as i said, have been fun, give me that smile i get with ewf for example.
the serious side of that track, took that away from it, including in your voice.

Gotcha. It's amazing how song analysis can become so complicated. You brought up a whole lotta stuff that I would have never even thought of.

I guess Agadoo is another one I have to check out. Man, all these groups I never heard of.

Agadoo is actually a song by the group Black Lace. Another one of their songs is Do The Conga and another is Superman.
You probably haven’t heard of them since they didn’t chart in the US Billboard 10
Just warning you now, it’s VERY catchy.
