Zebra Legacy (Zebra2)

wow. Looks nearly perfect to me.
Since Bazille you have by far the most beautiful plugins on the market.
It's beyond belief that you don't charge anything for all your updates. Don't know any manyfacturer who is so generous to their customers.
I think Zebra 2.8 would be Version 4.0 or 5.0 in any other company. Thank You!!!
As a little Christmas gift I think I will buy Filterscape this year, thoug I dont need it really atm (and I already own nearly all of your other stuff), but I have a queasy conscience because I just paid 80€ for Repro-1 back then and now got this lovely Repro-5 "for free".
So, looking forward to Zebra3, Lyrebird-pro and your u-he 'Microtonic-Geist2-Hybrid' with Hardware-Controller in 2018! ;)
Keep up your great work!! :)
...and Urs, thank you for being so present on this forum - always fun and interesting to read. Don't be stressed out cos there are sometimes aggresive moaners and other blockheads around. :) :)

...and one question to ZebraHZ 2.8.
Do the Diva Filters stay in the 'lower zone'?

I so wish this would happen, but the limitation is in the Grid module (the middle area where you route the modules)... It supports 32 modules, and ZHZ has more than that. So it seems reasonable to bump that limit up to 64...

Hmm I do like the lit orange PWM and Mono buttons in Osc2 and Noise1...gee I hope it's not growing on me. :?

seriously looks beyond stellar.

any chance for a look at the arp tab/ page? :help:

It's looking good. In an early draft of 2.8 I saw, modulation knobs were vector rings. I liked the visual differentiation for modulation knobs. Any reason for going away from that?

Post

In practice it didn't really work that well...

The gradient is... pretty. I was hoping for a maybe a lavender type of colour, but Basti, our designer, felt like he had to stop me there.

But yes, softer tick marks and stronger knob indicator was a good remedy for the problems we had with some of the earlier drafts.
That gradient is hideous. Looks like complete sh*t. Everything else is great though! Awesome work!

I'm still working on my business... to all of you wondering. Just wrote my first line of code. I call it... "the warmth"... Best DSP ever. Oh man you just wait Urs... TaKiNg YoU DoWn!!!11!1one!11!

I like both of those skins and gradient looks amazing. So, to each his own...I believe to satisfy all people, multiple choices have to be available, at least 3 different skins. :)

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe if there were a few more amber colored modules, that amber hue within the gradient wouldn't feel so off-putting to me. In any case, it's a minor quibble at this point. Overall, I think the new GUI looks lovely.

This kind of theme will certainly sell more licenses and possibly even make Zebra easier to learn. But can't be the only choice for people who spend a lot of time creating and tweaking sounds.
Agreed!

And HOLY SHIT what an amazing theme  . Basti did great work there. :tu:

Can you please make this ATLANTIS THEME an option (in Z2.8 or Z3) for noobs like me who are new to it ?

This way, the amateur's and the pro's can work with whatever suits them.

Thank you!

That's the idea of doing several themes. You'd be able to choose.

Also I'm pretty sure the gradient is a relatively simple tweak in the theme script file. :)

Thanks for the explanation. Did not know it's such a big thing. :?

Nice that this old zebra still gets so much love. She deserves it. Especially the Dark one. :!:
The old HZ skin is really hard to look at.
