Just got some fresh money on my account and looking to buy, but I have a question about the way the copy protection works.
My situation is that I'm going to get a new computer around christmas and this of course the box I'd like to use it on in the end, however I'd like to buy this baby as soon as possible to benefit from the price cut in effect as long as she's in beta.
Since I need to supply a serial number when I pay I started wondering what this serial number is tied to, i.e. is it tied to the computer through some kind of hardware checksum or is it tied to the installation file (or something else entirely)? And if it's the former case, can I transfer the license to the new computer when I get it?

Strictly, the license agreement is per-machine, but as long as you can guarantee us that you're not using both systems at the same time then we usually don't have a problem issuing new keys to our customers. We only want to sell you our product once and we understand that machines come and go.

Just email us your new serial number when you build your new machine and we'll issue you a second key.
