Any patches you can think of that sound close to this?

http://www.sf2-files.com/extsounds/06_D ... rSaw01.mp3

I purchased this sf2 soundset the other day based on the Virus TI hypersaw stuff..It's actually very good, anyhow,I'd love to have this sound in Sylenth..
As a matter of fact, why don't you sound dev's who still own a TI emulate an entire Sylenth bank of TI hypersaw'ish sounds for us..I'd buy it.. :D lol..
Thanks

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this .txt issue on a PC(running Firefox)? :help:
Not sure if you tried this already...

After you download them to a folder, My Documents (or wherever), open the My Documents folder so you see it's contents.

At the top, click Tools, Folder Options, click View (at the top)then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", click Apply and then Ok.

Then you can see the extensions to edit them, and change *.txt to *.fxp if it's a preset, or change it to *.fxb if it's a bank.
Thanks for the reply Examigan. I downloaded them to a folder and opened the folder like you said but I don't see the "Tools" option. The only option Vista gives me in the folder is "Organize","Views", and "Burn". Maybe I'm missing something totally obvious? I don't know...

This link has the steps to show the extensions if you're using Vista:

I gotta say after trying out some of these presets I have a whole other level of respect and appreciation for Sylenth!

heres a bit of a challenge:

Starting at 1:55. beautiful distorted lead,
originally from Nord lead 2 hw synth.

i myself wouldnt know where to start to get even close.
Progressive , trance, house, electro

Here's challenge, how about the preset Kris Menace used for his track "Scaler"? It's originally from the Virus TI. I don't know what the actual preset is called though... It's the 'lead' sound that keeps risiiiiinnnng and risiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnngggg. ;)

Is it possible to do something like this with Sylenth?

Hi Everyone,

Trying to get into sound design. Failing miserably at the moment but persevering! Could anyone help me design the heavily distorted bass sound of Boys Noize? A good example of what I'm looking for is at the start of 'Let's Buy Happiness'. Please forgive a poor beginner if this is a little basic. I have tried but my efforts fall far short of the mark!

The trick is to do some fading in and out of different layers in different octaves while pitching them. I made a small example to demonstrate the effect: ARP Ever Rising. Works even better with more instances at the same time ;)

Another tough one, they don't get easier :) Try ARP Noizer
