right that is the correct info about SSE and the cpus... that is exactly what I was saying that was not correct in the manual ...and that needed changing...

I think it must be almost impossible to write a manual in english when that is not your 'native' language... same the other way around also...

I sure would not like to try to translate a manual from eng to chinese! or Arabic... LOL

I also took exception to how the term 'semitone' was being used... normally here, semitone will mean the same as a half step... I know technically, it could be even a finer division... for example a 22 semitone scale... but since the 'fine tuning' really goes in decimals of a half step, I think what I edited makes for a more clear explanation...

etc...

GOOD NEWS - EVE is now SSE and also non-SSE compatible, so almost any computer will be able to run it. ;)

Also, the SoundSet were again updated, sorry for those with Dial-Up, a large file, we know. The Sine waveform now goes up to full range without aliasing, and also most samples to C7 and C8. Altought you wouldn't have much use for those ranges on some instruments.

We also uploaded the large file into small files. Just download all files and double-click on the EXE one, it will UnRar all files into a single EVE Installer. The splited files are inside "/Complete Splited Files".

Also, ALL sounds were Normalized properly. Plus, 7 new CX3 Organ SoundSets.

The new code for SSE machines is still the same, no CPU usage added. But non-SSE machines will also be able to run it without problems, but with a higher CPU usage. Krim, could you tell if the CPU usage is too high?

On the About page of the VSTi, next to the VERSION number it says if it has SSE enabled. SSE makes almost 4 times faster.

Good news and a little bad news...
Mainly...
CX3 samples still have the noise in the next octave up from the middle of my keyboard in sets 1 and 6, only slightly in 3 and 7, and there's a loop tick on 2...and a loop tick in Oberheim m12...I'm basically thinking that this may be something that can't be helped...The tick in the loops(which sounded like an attack issue) could not be remedied by env adjustments...and on up the keyboard it seemed to increase in speed like vib would...

Most other sounds are working great...

One other thing I do hear though is from C5 to D5 on minimoog saw there's a sudden octave jump!:-o Other waveforms don't have this exact anomaly, but do seem to slighly and suddenly soften from C5 to D5 when scaling up the board...(note number designations are from within FL Studio)

I also wanted to ask...when you get the manul edits together can you post a new version for final proof-reading and revision so we won't accidentally send you the same changes?... :)

Thanks for all the work William :D downloading now...slowly

Ford, if you don't mind, could you please sample some of those ticks/clicks and send to my email? ;)

I would apreciate a lot.

I just woke up and have to go to work...I can send you examples later this evening...The "tick" sounds like the samples before that just didn't have attack on them...remember? Also the octave jump thing sounds like a missing or skipped sample...I'll send examples of the "no attack" ones and the aliasing CX3s...The octave jump and suddening softening on other samples should be self apparent, but I can also send a scale so you can hear those...I'll get them to you tonight...

UPDATE

Thanxs to Ford, we found several problems on EVE samples that we will be fixing ASAP. Sorry, but the samples will all get an update.

Also, we found a small bug on non-SSE EVE, it was playing one octave up compared to the SSE version, fixed allready.

Latter today or tomorrow we will upload a new version and the complete sample updated.

Is it still on-track for a Nov 14th release? That's the day I get home, so I'm expecting to be able to download the copy I already bought as soon as I walk in the door and boot up my computer! :P

Yes, maybe even before 14th! :D

Yup, for Dial-Up users is a pain, sorry, but at least the next Sampler-VSTi will get better at first. ;)

I know, I'm sorry. I haven't been on dial up in almost 3 years, I can't imagine anymore going back to 33.6kbps again living now at 2500kbps for so long. Here's hoping broadband becomes easier to get in the near future.

NEW BETA UPDATE 20

Thanxs to DevonB, Max and Ford for all the help. We managed to fix several problems and also updated the SoundSets, again. But now you can blaim me a bit, since I did a stupid error. The samples were not centered on the Key-Zones. Now they are, so the trans. from one sample to another is better and not so noticable. (but still noticable)

Also, fixed several other small problems on ADSR and Signal-Path.

We also did a few more presets, but we are working on at least 128 presets but we hope to get 2 banks of 128 presets each.

Best Regards, WilliamK and Luigi Felici (Liqih)
