Yes, I think you could put it on a whole buss or a whole mix if you want to go nuclear

I just use it as an insert effect... it's easy enough to set up. My default project template has dynamics control on every buss already so I don't need one.

The possibilities are remarkably endless after a while of messing with it. I do have the cash in the paypal account, but I want to play with it a bit more. I think sometime monday is when the "promotion" ends, but I want to make up my mind earlier.
It's kinda like "the finger" on permanent steroids.

I just uploaded a track that uses SE on the drums only. I didn't want total mangling here, the aim was to use SE as a "break" machine - the drum patterns you hear are all pretty simple, and the shuffling around is (almost always) SE at work. It's great how it can turn a kick-snare-kick-snare on its head. There's also two or three of SE's effects, which don't get mentioned that often - the sweeps and stuff.

One deciding factor is probably this: the regular price is outrageously high. I would never have paid that much for it - and I squirmed at the intro price, as well.

I purchased a copy a few weeks ago, but haven't done much beyond running thru presets.
Q: Has anyone been able to buffer incoming "live" audio prior to recording a track clip? (eg. using effect on an electric guitar, electric bass or microphone live input).
I'm primarily using Cubase 4.0 in XP. A semi-detailed explanation would be helpful if this is possible.

I have never tried to do this. I guess you could try this yourself--put it on the input channel and see what happens. I bet it would work.

I've tried it on things like a snare that is a separate output and was less than impressed with the results. Have not tried a mic/guitar in thoughKevin63101 wrote:I purchased a copy a few weeks ago, but haven't done much beyond running thru presets.
