There is major overlap in the way they handle samples. But they serve very different purposes. Edison is inserted into an fx slot. Slicex is inserted into an instrument channel. If you want to record and edit audio, Edison is what you want. Slicex does not record. If you want to use sliced loop in a song, Slicex is what you want. You can't play a loop/sample as an instrument with Edison. Both complement each other. Edit a loop in Edison, play it with Slicex. I don't think they lose any functions outside of FL, but I wouldn't know for sure.

Edison does what it says on the box. It is my recording solution for the most part. The only possible problem is that it records into RAM AFAIK. Please correct if I'm wrong.

I ended up only purchasing harmor. I've wanted it 4ever.

At least I got it at a slamming discount.

I own the electribes for ipad and I have tons of synths that do what Sakura does, only better.

The only other thing I was looking at was gross beat, but the cablesguys have volumeshaper for $20 - so cheaper and EXACTLY what I am looking for.

It's only Harmor that's 64bit at the moment.

The other plugins in that thread are 32bit VST plugins with some fixes for use in 64bit hosts (through a bridge). They will have 64bit versions when we deem it stable enough.

Kind of regret that I didn't get Harmor, but in a way I'm happy too.

Businesses run this way...

JMC is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) which means he is across everything technical happening within the company.

JMC is also a Co-Owner which means he has no idea what's happening within the company.

These two balance out so that JMC knows *some* things that are happening. As you will notice he knew some things were 64 Bit in his post

That or reflex didn't do as JMC expected
