Ok. Great.
Thanks a lot, Urs

I would love to see some change in the LFO behavior in zebra3... the ability to make LFOs unipolar without having to use MMap, and actiually able to lock them into syncable divisions so you can modulate them and have them remain tempo synced would make me use this synth 100x more. Havingg LFO rate as an assignable modulation without the matrix, and available as an automation parameter ... who doesn't want to modulate LFO rates in their FM patches ??
Also, having the audio signals available a mod sources for audio rate modulation of any parameter would make this synth infinitely more powerful, and many artists in my musical world would start using it who have no interest currently .. it has so much potential but these few things just miss the bar for the music we make ..

Hello Echopeople.. what music do you make?Echopeople wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 12:05 pm I would love to see some change in the LFO behavior in zebra3... the ability to make LFOs unipolar without having to use MMap, and actiually able to lock them into syncable divisions so you can modulate them and have them remain tempo synced would make me use this synth 100x more. The ModMatrix will work like the one in Hive. Modulation of LFO-Rate at intervals like 2x, 4x, 0.5x is easy with the Quantizer option.

I know we're a way off, but it would be awesome to have little tricks like this in the manual, possibly even some example/template patches in the factory library to show them offUrs wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:57 pm The ModMatrix will work like the one in Hive. Edit: I guess it's quite likely since they're already in the Hive manual!
Always Read the Manual!

Fantastic. So there will be an option to quantize lfos to tempo synced Intervals? I must have missed the full list of new features .. could someone point me to it?Urs wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:57 pm The ModMatrix will work like the one in Hive. There isn’t a list of features yet, just suggestions and hints.Echopeople wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 6:33 pmFantastic. So there will be an option to quantize lfos to tempo synced Intervals? To be clear, is this quantization a new feature? Or are you referring to quantizing incoming modulations to synced clock divisions using the MMAP? Seems like there would be heavy math involved each time you wish to make a new map, as the different divisions are at very strange values in zebra2 LFO rates. Plus, you would have to calculte how many divisions you want to be "on the menu" as modulation stops, make that many points, and input all these bizarre values likeUrs wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 7:04 pmThere isn’t a list of features yet, just suggestions and hints.Echopeople wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 6:33 pmUrs wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:57 pm The ModMatrix will work like the one in Hive. 8/1 = 200
4/1 = 158.74
2/1 = 125.99
1/1 = 100
1/2 = 79.37
1/4 = between 62.99 and 63.00
1/8 = 50.00
1/16 = between 39.68 and 39.69
1/32 = between 31.48 and 31.49
A few triples and thirds:
3/1 = 144.22
3/2 = 114.47
2/3 = 87.36
1/3 = between 69.33 and 69.34
On the MMAP for each different mod SOURCE (mmaps have a single modulation source, no?) that you want to go to an LFO to keep it at simple divisions. That is a lot of time and headache to get a result that could be as simple as a button click to choose whether synced LFOs will have "in between" values, or be anchored only to divisions of the tempo as most other synths do (would be even cooler since most of them have no option to NOT do this)

LFO rate in Hive etc follows 2^x so that a setting of 0 is 1x, 1 is 2x, 2 is 4x, i.e. it doubles with each integer step. I guess we have to think about tutorials to illustrate the simplicity and usefulness of the method.
Hence, no modmappers and no math required...

Ah, i am not a hive user so its news to me. So there is some mod quantizer that you can set for example a limit of 5 steps, -200, -100, 0 100, 200 on mod source going to control an 1/8 note LFO, and the modulation will only move in between 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32?Urs wrote: Thu Jan 14, 2021 8:35 pm LFO rate in Hive etc follows 2^x so that a setting of 0 is 1x, 1 is 2x, 2 is 4x, i.e. it doubles with each integer step. I don't know if this has been asked but will Give 2.1 gonna have global pitch as destination for the modulation ?

I was hoping for that as well. I was surprised I couldn't find it in the Mod Matrix.accessdune3 wrote: Tue Jan 19, 2021 1:10 pm I don't know if this has been asked but will Give 2.1 gonna have global pitch as destination for the modulation ?
