I think this is exactly the reason most bought into the pre-order; to have the 64 bit version to use their old ST2 software on a modern 64 bit machine.TheoM wrote:Is anyone not buying this because all they want is a blank slate version for 64 bit to play their current ST libraries?
I can't be arsed reading 200 pages but that's where I am at.
That was my excuse

This is exactly why I am not buying it. I'll spend $15 on jBridge and suffer with the old UIs.TheoM wrote:Is anyone not buying this because all they want is a blank slate version for 64 bit to play their current ST libraries?

$99 was the intro price, back in July. It's gone up now, to something like $129, may be more.TheoM wrote:
I will never buy a new instrument again, but this might have to be the exception just to make my life easier when i do want to access those 32GB of St2 sounds i have.
I'll just use JBridge.

I'd have done the same except I couldn't get Live to stop crashing with jbridge. NOT that that was jbridge's fault. Hard to say since I was having so much problems with Live anyway.bharris22 wrote:....This is exactly why I am not buying it. I'll spend $15 on jBridge and suffer with the old UIs.
But yeah, if jbridge works for you, definitely save the money!

Hi...my Sweetwater rep wasn't aware that it had started shipping...I will check with him again. Thanks for the update.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:We are shipping the boxed version of SampleTank 3, by the way. If you ordered the boxed version from us, you should have received notification that your shipment is on the way and if you have not you will very soon. Thanks for your patience.

I would like to play all of my Xpansion Tank sounds in the ST3 Free (or at least lower cost version) too.

To save reading the whole thread:
ST3 Free can only Import its own instruments (there are weekly releases of more instruments), not Xpansion Tanks nor the old libraries (MP, SMoog etc) etc.
