Guys what are you smoking? It's hooorible! And I mean that! Hehe, but I do realise I am losing here.

I hope you all realise that the new skin style and colour scheme will change the sounds people make with it. A lot of people use Zebra to make cinematic and ambient styles of music and I don't think either new skin suits that purpose.

I hope the new HZ skin will at least be the same colour as the 2.7 HZ! With stripes! And not blurry stripes! And with clouds behind the Zebra logo!

Better question here is what the hell are YOU smoking?

The new skin is about a million times more usable and less fatigueing than the old one. Plus, it resizes MUCH better, without any blurry artifacts. It's better in absolutely every way. Other beta testers agree.

Well obviously I am smoking Zebra 2.72 HZ and it's clear you are smoking Zebra 2.8.

Yes, approximately.

In real-world practice (rather than just staring at a screenshot), it is really that much more usable.

I like the old knobs also, but what I like better is a Zebra 2.8 Beta...any knobs!

Not at all! It needs to be blue like Zebra 2.7HZ to make blue music. You can't make blue music on a beige synth! And the new knobs like bugs and 'ticks' like legs will let little legs quietly walk into the music you make with it. They will be everywhere! Just psychology at work...or human nature if you prefer.

Also the new skin is way more 2D so that will flatten out your music. Look at 2.7HZ and think 'how does this make me feel?' then look at the new one and ask yourself the same question. Those feelings go straight into the music you make with it.

edit: Looking again, 2.7HZ is not just blue but red too - a classic combination. Does the new one look like a classic?

edit2: If somebody says something in an offhanded/frivilous [i.e. non-serious] way but it turns out to be precient or interesting or maybe even true does it really matter if it was said as a joke? Hmm

Let's see... HZ is a bit blurry, compact and tight... The new one is expansive, clear, easy to be with and more inviting...

The increment lines all over it dont make it look clearer to me. All the new knobs are smaller, how is that clearer? Beige is not easy to be with nor inviting.

Yeah, new skin is miles better. I love Zebra, but current skin aged badly, so the new one will transform it completely.

I really hope that the upcoming ZebraHZ skin is based on the new Zebra 2.8 skin(s) for a fresh and professional look! Please also (partly) with warm colors and without zebra stripes. Basti's skin is also great and the zebra stripes are even okay..
