I think when every synth sounds same, we would just work with one So every synth has it's own magic and rapid is on the tops of the synths from the quality of sound imo. So no need to say it's worth 20 bucks.

Personally I have lost interest in simple 2 or 3 oscillator 'virtual' analog synths, just buy a real analog synths if you are that bothered about authenticity (If that sound is really what you love, try a Pro-1 from Behringer for a few hundred bucks)

Rapid is far more interesting and expansive than these old VA's (and I say that as someone with a Model D, Prophet 8, Odyssey etc, so I like my analog), sure, sometimes it is great to play these old fixed east coast style analog style synths and sometimes that sound is just right, but generally, the more modern hybrid synths (Rapid, Avenger, Omnisphere, Falcon etc) cover more bases and make more sense if you are using software given the availability of really cheap real analog hardware that uses no CPU and frankly is 'the' sound that the software is trying to 'emulate'.

..in fact in the past you yourself said Rapid was 'amazing' and a 'bargain' so I am not sure why adding more stuff to it for free now makes you think it is almost worthless!

Hey. For those who used my skins... Black Knight 1 + 2 or Dark Phoenix .. They don't work anymore in 1.7.
But i have created a new "Dark Phoenix 1.7" now and a "Modern Dark". The Black Knights will follow later.

Is it true that I still can't switch presets via the computer keyboard?

Do I still have to grab my mouse every time for switching a preset?

Is this a request for MIDI program change? Or maybe you have another method?

No, I just want to switch / step-throug (previous/next) via the computer keyboard (e.g. Nexus, Sylenth1, Avenger, Legend, Omnisphere, Lethal, ... = preset switching via arrow keys).

hey parawave please let us choose the USER preset folder ourselves i dont like to have it on c and use my custom folders on another hdd

I figured it out...at least partially. Rapid seems to have lost the factory data besides the presets. Any clue on how to make it locate it? My waveform/wavetable screen is blank.

Windows or Mac? Easiest way: Just re-install the Factory Sounds. Then the paths are restored.

Symlink the Parawave folder inside ProgramData folder to any drive. I have it like that and works perfectly fine.

@dandezebra - are you talking abut the presets within the "FX" Banks? Those have switched of Oscillators and therefore no waveform display, because they are meant to be FX presets for Rapid FX I bet...

I noticed some weird behaviour when using Rapid with Studio One 4.5.4 (Win 10):
When I press a key Rapid plays 2 voices simultaneously which drop immediately to 1 voice once the decay phase of the amp ENV is passed. Also, no matter how long I press the key, Rapid plays the full decay lengh PLUS the release time (I would expect that the release time starts once I release the key on my keyboard). The problem disappears if I turn on "Mono Legato" in the voicings tab. Can someone please confirm?

Not the presets for the FX banks. Thanks though as it reminded me of them!

Here is a screenshot of me trying to play one of the Lead presets. The only ones that actually can find any oscillator sources are the Music Styles drumkit bank downloaded from here a while ago. I assume I am doing something stupid...Ha!
