The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

this thread is so disheartening. it's kinda like when you go to a concert to hear your favorite band, and the band cancels, so you just sit there and shoot the shit with your friends for a little while.

I had a senior moment a couple of weeks ago - I went to a theater to see "X-Men III". How hard could this be?
I bought my ticket and looked at the number "22" - I went to theater 22 where X-Men was just finishing. OK. I sat down and waited for the movie to start again. More waiting...
And then I waited some more.
I finally got up and asked why the movie hadn't started yet. It turns out I was in the wrong theater. The big number "1" (under my thumb as I held the ticket) was where I was suposed to be. The number "22" was the number of theaters (as well as being one of the theaters where X-Men would eventually be shown).
The story is true but has nothing to do with this thread. I was just passing through and thought I would share it with you all ...

don't worry about it - I've got many far worse 'senior moments' in my life already when I was in my twenties... (one of my real-life nicks is 'PJ' b.t.w. - that stands for 'Pannen-Jens' (Mishap-Jens))pj geerlings wrote:I had a senior moment a couple of weeks ago - I went to a theater to see "X-Men III". Were you still in time for the start of the movie?
