Can the "physical modelling" in MSoundfactory provide results like SWAM, Pianoteq (at least the non-piano, like the harp), or GS Strum? It seems like there are many aspects of individual instrument types that wouldn't be covered by a general approach from resonators or strings etc... still interesting though. Wonder how far it can go towards "realistic" modelling. They're going to add a sampler to it so that could make up a lot of the difference....

Anybody know how long Bitwig license transfers usually take? My seller had the ticket submitted for the German business day on Friday but we haven't heard anything at all from them.

I sold mine, took one day. I just send email at support@bitwig.com and request license transfer.

Alright, thanks guys. We did send an email, so I guess I'll just have to be patient.

New deals at NI. Bass and Drums VSTs. Mostly rock sound stuff.

This is interesting, I wish they had included at least one guitar.

I don't think so. Considering the intro + loyalty discount is more than 40% off at launch, I think it's a pretty good rebate for the amount of stuff included.

Wondering as well. Their price for the Cubase crossgrade is the lowest.
Steinberg Cubase Pro 10 Competitive Crossgrade:

Plugin Alley - $166.00
JRR Shop - $166.00
Best Service - $159.48
B&H - $166.00
Sweetwater - $166.00

Is there some other discount at Plugin Alley?

Thanks.
It was $149.4 at Plug Alley with a code. But according to the site they have sold out now.
Thanks v1o! :D

BBC
I can’t get the idea of a sales campaign, where the software product is ”sold out”.
If its up to activation codes, the world is full of number/letter series, just generate more those, Steinberg. :x
Best Service sent out another email:

"They have not at all been prepared for the promotion. On top of the missing stock at their European distribution center, all Crossgrade orders need to be processed and approved at Steinberg individually.
Probably it will take 1-2 weeks for us to get it approved and be able to ship to you. You will get an confirmation email from our license server as soon as available.

Sorry, I don´t have better news at the moment, but we are in constant contact with steinberg to get the earliest news.
Thanks for your patience. Don´t worry, you will get your license for sure"
Ouch! Never seen Best Service bashing like this. It must hurts, Steinberg...

From the comments I read all around, yes it is. I'm almost tempted to use my monthly voucher on this.

Pretty good bundle from great developers, at least for OTS and ISW, the other company I don't know.

Correct, and obviously a status-update could do, perhaps a few words what way things are expected to turn

I find this situation a little strange, wonder what interest steinberg got keeping people waiting, I dont believe, (hope), they are so unproffesional so supplying dealers with fresh licenses in short term should be a problem

And also they should be well aware a certain demand might be there during the sale

Sorry if its already been explained why it is

Will note that it’s significantly cheaper on iPad, if that’s a workable option.

Anyway, props given.
Great product and great company! Now that he’s making his own software and is no longer dependent on UVI and Native Instruments, the support is even better than ever.
