Me, too, Me, too!
Running a 750mHz PIII Dell Laptop, 1/2 gig ram.
Running just audio tracks with effects (Via EnergyXT: [Spitfish, CloneEnsemble, EQ,] FinalMix, Via EnergyXT: [Sir]) a week ago I was able to listen to at least a single track before maxing out the cpu.
Now, I have to disable all but one effect at a time just to get anything to play on a single track. 2 effects groups or more = 99+% cpu. 1 effect group = 85-90% cpu load. Even rebuilt from scratch.
The tune I built a week ago under 2.0 now takes 15 minutes (clocked) to load: 12 audio tracks, effects-heavy for sure.
Cpu load with 1.6 is even less: I can hear 2-3 tracks with all those effects. the 12-track tune takes 2 minutes to load.
2.0: 1-2 tracks
2.1: Not even 1. Sure, it hasn't "really" crashed, but now I also can't hear as much as I did before.
No realtime, asiodirect=off, no difference in background tasks.
Am I not holding my jaw right? I know I can't shop.......
