i dont mean that all bad, i think its good you guys get the word out.
but i mean just google voxengo award and then google uad-1 award. you cant blame me for the results you get.
but of course all these people giving out the awards have no ears and are bought and paid for by UA and its this vast conspiracy thats keeping your tunes out of the top 40 etc etc.
all those guys who disagreed with me in that thread ended up agreeing later that PMB is great, just like i said they would.
maybe 2006 will be the year of voxengo? you think?

And, as far as I know, you CAN'T get an award unless you are in contact with magazines and its advertisement departments. The same applies to TEC awards - you have to submit products you wish to be reviewed there. It is probably a good marketing machine, but currently I'm mostly interested in Internet marketing whose only real power are paid ads and customer communication.
So, Tony, all you are speaking about (critisizing) is the way I do marketing, because awards are meant to be a marketing mechanism in the first place (customer attention directing).

Vox was my goto untill i purchased Waves Diamond. Now I use Waves for all my tracks either to compress or fatten or thin out or remove noise waves cant be beat. Then for mastering I go with IZOTOPE 3. voxformer i still use on vocals howevr. So keep up the good work Alex and thanks for filling in a GAP with my Vocal work.
(sorry i cant resist:) i actually cant believe people can even trust a company that still sells: l1 and rennaisance processors for $200-300 each! can you see aleksey 10 years on selling el1 as a separate product for $300? anyone who had any amount of pride in their work simply couldnt.
this is what the thread is about and voxengo represents to me. so yeah waves are at the other end of the scale and shouldnt be mentioned here.![]()
regards,
Yes i agree. Its absolute assholes like this guy that make forums unbearable.

There are some presets for download here:boogooloo1 wrote:That's great, guys - now start sharing some presets so preset junkies like me can benefit!
(That's about the only complaint I have about Voxengo - the presets.)

If you are a Marquis Compressor user Bmanic has quite a collection for that plug. Perhaps we could all extract our digits and get some more up there.

My 0.02: I went from Waves and Izotope to Voxengo and never looked back. What Aleksey does in terms of sonic quality, customer service and price is simply amazing. As I wrote sometime ago: "genius" is an overused word IMO but Aleksey deserves it.

I think Voxengo plugins are all crap!
NO... just kidding!
Currently I only own Marquis. I tried Voxformer, and I'm in love. I guess I have to wait until Christmas to get a nicely priced bundle, as I now can't afford all the voxengo plugs I love

I'm one of those that are feeling a bit guilty that I don't always tell everybody how great the Voxengo plugins are simply because I love the advantage it gives me!
Awards for voxengo? Hell no! Please don't sell out Aleksey! Him NOT having a stupid "future music platinum" award, or even worse, "computer music editor of choise" or something similar (
) would do more harm than good.
Cheers!

Maybe it's because I'm kinda new to these parts, but I don't understand why you even brought up the UAD plugins in this thread. You jumped in defending them when, uh, well, no one was bad mouthing them in the first place. All anyone here was doing was giving praise to a company they felt deserved it. Period. Why does giving one company praise equal bad mouthing all others? How does that work?Tony Ostinato wrote:i dont mean that all bad, i think its good you guys get the word out.

I mean, uh, you a VERY dedicated fan, evidently. Are you like this with all products you like, or is it just limited to those in music production? Like, if you're a pepsi fan, would you hang out in front of coke machines informing people that pepsi has won more awards? And then if they refuse to listen, do you get all sarcastic and make little smart ass remarks about how it's a conspiracy by pepsi to keep coke down?
Seriously, you sound like a jealous ex-girlfriend making catty remarks about the new girl because she's getting more attention.
If you're so hurt by the praise here, then maybe you should go and start a new thread entitled 'general praise for uad-1'.

Newcomer drags himself to his feet:
"Hi everybody, my name is Funky Tony O. and I'm a UAD junkie"
Chorus of fellow sufferers:
" Hello Tony O."

I just want to thank Aleksey for the AF chorus, I love it on my guitar for those Abbey Roadish chorus sounds it can do so well...

The only reason I am considering UAD is the fact that it does have a dsp card. I am not to thrilled with the prospect of the latency doubling with every plugin I add to a project. I suppose at mix time it doesnt matter much, but I tend to write, record, mix and master all at once, so that wouldnt work for me...
