I use the Google popup blocker and the windows firewall. Even when I disable google it still won;t work.
I use a hardware ADSL router with built in firewall as well. It worked fine all the years, untill last month and I did not upgrade any router software lately, so I don't know if that can be a problem.

Have you tried disabling your firewalls? Also, what browser are you using?Sepheritoh wrote:I use the Google popup blocker and the windows firewall. Even when I disable google it still won;t work.

I have no interest in going to a forum that requires me to disable my firewall. This one is the only forum on the internet where I have this problem and I will not go to that length to read their forums.
I tried with both IE and firefox and got the exact message with both.

FWIW, I've accessed it with no problems from both home and work, and both of those connections are behind firewalls.Sepheritoh wrote:I have no interest in going to a forum that requires me to disable my firewall. Strange. No problems here reaching the forum. I'm behind a hardware firewall, plus a software firewall on my computer, plus Norton. You might try clearing history and any cakewalk cookies you find.
All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

OK I cleared my cookies, cleared temp internet files and cleared my history.
Wait for it!
No change, but now I have sign in on all the other forums I visit from scratch.

Still no tracking number...Carl Jacobson [CAKEWALK] the 31th of May wrote:OK, that's the response I needed to see. I'll get someone on this.
I would have loved to find cakewalk great...
This first experience is not very convincing.

Why don't you write them privately or complain on the cakewalk forums or call them and ask them about a downloadable version and a number for it that you can use until the actual package gets there? {They do frequently post updates on their site}Ixox wrote:Still no tracking number...Carl Jacobson [CAKEWALK] the 31th of May wrote:OK, that's the response I needed to see. I've never had problems with Cakewalk as far as this sort of thing goes. It does sound as though something has gone wrong somewhere. Maybe Mackie's so desperate not to lose you that they're interfering?

I'm really sorry to have make this uninteresting story public.
But often, companies don't link to see their name associated with bad story and they react more quickly.
That was the case.
Call them... Already done... several time.
Writing on the cakewalk forum... Already done...
I've also exchanged a lot of mails with 4 different cakewalk people....
I've just received an email (2 minutes ago) from cakewalk saying me i'll get my money back AND a sonar 5 studio box because of this ordeal.
I wait... that would be a unexpected great move.
Mackie ? OK... I'm in a bad mood. I won't say anything about tracktion today....

I meant regarding something to get you started. It sounds like you've waited a bit longer than you should have.
Look at link 1 above. Did they send you a number?Ixox wrote:I wait... that would be a unexpected great move.

But the links are only update download (5.0.1 and 5.2) and requires a 5.0 installed.

Thanks a lot.RTaylor wrote:Can you not register the demo? I've not tried it.

But the demo is a producer edition and all the limits seem to be hardcoded.
No online registration.
