Nah - we're so polite you'll see people waiting for stoplights to change when there is no traffic!

Great freakin' mix, btw. Great texture you got out of this, you managed to get his vocal sitting better. I found it hard to work with, personally.

Yep, I had to do a 2nd mix because they were too loud and bass-y in my first one.

If you work with the dry vocals, it helps to cut the lows (-150 Hz), add compression (+/- 6 dB) and also add Delay/Reverb.

Unfortunately, the original vocals are as lousy as I could imagine any vocals to be.
Otherwise I might've given it a try, but as I'm usually working along vocals, this is a no-no for me. I hadn't even kept a single line of them if I were the original recording engineer. Sorry.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Sascha.....

you are so right. :scared:

I've entered 2 remix competitions lately because I loved the vocals, Artful Dodger being one. This, however sounds pretty poor tbh. Doesn't inspire me at all.

pschelfh, great remix. A bit Electroclash-ish. Fits the vocals :)

Well... at least it's a song, I found it easier to remix a song than an instrumental. Talking about instrumental, if you don't like the vocals, you can always make an instrumental version, even a trance mix if you want :D.

I guess I just used the vocal as part of the mesh of the rythmn and as an effect...
didn't occur to me to do any other thing with it.

I've worked with far worse vocal recordings though.
for entertaining porpoises only
