Gonna be a bit before I can afford another synth but this is at the top of the short list. Presets by runagate and ToTc (among others), gorgeous GUI plus liqih's mad programming skills make me look forward to the day.

Happy Christmas, liqih. May you have a merry and prosperous New Year.

Insanity.
It is such a great synth.

Do you know you posted this in the Acilead thread, though? :D

What's the status on Acilead, anyways?

Once I know I'll make a post about both in instruments.

Thanks, merry christmas to you and everyone!

But bob (I shouldn't say this) isn't time you start showing some music of yours and stop buying synths?, <grin>

yes my friend I posted that here since it's releated, I stoped working on Acilead to see if Acidome would sell a little

just I'd like to know if people dont't buy Acidome for:
1) it's made with Synth Maker (thus Windows only)
2) they don't like the the sound of it
3) it's too similar to something they already have (including freeware)

if 3) I'd like to know which ones since I don't knwo any free synths sounding like Acidome

lol
For every free synth I try there is a new tune on my hard drive, kinda can't help it. If the tunes were a bit more interesting I'd for sure post them.

I guess I'd rather listen to the really great music others have been posting than clutter the cafe with my so-so attempts. In other words, be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.

Didn't realize it had been so long but this link

brings you to one of my last attempts featuring a plugin of yours. Don't want you to think I'm just a collector of vst. :ud:
I'm trying.

Hi Liqih, I gave it a try and it sounds good but it sucks up too much CPU for what it is. I can't run it at all on my 1.7Gh machine and although it loads ok, it freezes up on the 3Gh.

All of the SM products I've tried have a lot of potential but I haven't seen a single one that I thought was ready for prime time. I tried but did not buy SM because although it looks good I couldn't make anything that I though worked good enough to give away for free much less sell and support. I also think SM costs too much for a program that's not very useful yet. Maybe in another 4 years our hardware will catch up to SM like it did with SE. I'm not a SM hater I just don't see anything worth the cost of using it yet.

many thanks for the report tomg, I'm aware that these Synth Maker synths are not so optimized as CPU usage, but I tried to make a "clever" design and
actually I and others users find Acidome pretty usable, I have a 2.1 CPU and I can run up to 3 istances of Acidome + drums and many effects
in energyXT,

may you please tell exactly which CPU freezes and in which context?

thanks again

Sure. Sorry to be negative. It looks very nice. I really would like SM stuff to work.

3Gh Intel P4 running Chainer... Just play a few notes and switch back and forth between the presets while you're playing. 3rd or 4th click and it goes bye bye.

I'm certianly not having any problems in Usine or FL with a 1.8 Ghz Sempron.

anyway though it seems that customers don't like NUSofting using Synth Maker , <sigh>

only 2 Acidome sales so far,

guys make some noise!!!!!
Three. Didnt see it before, nice and innovative and at a pretty reasonable price.

Could i permit suggesting you though a bit of reorganization on your website? I think it would help...

Tried to crash it in eXT by switching between presets while playing. No crash. Same test in Phrazor, no crash.

P4 2.4ghz WinXP SP2 AudigyZS

Just downloaded and installed Chainer 1.03 demo, went thru the same test. No crash.

Too bad, it might have helped solve the problem.
