NOW, I know. SR/DC: It's the virtual SR Dance Chicks plugin. Let them swing their hips (their hips don't lie) to your beat while composing - and let this inspire you.

Sure sounds like Studiophonik to me,,, at long last!! Could it be???
Maybe OmniSoundz?? or was it Omni Synth 2??
It would be so cool if all platinum members would get a free receptor with all IK and Sonik Reality products loaded in it. That's probably a little too much to hope for though,,,,

Whatever SR unveils at NAMM - what kind of timeline might you be hoping for before such an item becomes available to the public?
I'm not sure if this is one of those questions you just don't want to answer, but I was just thinking when you're hyping up to NAMM what is the hype exactly? To get excited right up until the point where Product X is unveiled only to find out that you can't purchase it anyway for another 6 months.

Caleb
Well, the excitment is a combination of things, not just one product. There is one in particular that we're announcing that I think is really interesting and I think a lot of you will be intrigued by it. Although, it might be a bit out of some of your budgets. That doesn't mean you won't be able to appreciate how cool it is though! Oh it isn't something we've announced at all before. Something completely new. But, we have some shipping news for the Studio ProFiles that have been announced and some other things.

Squids,
Mr. Yamaha may have spilled a couple of beans in regard to your exciting product at NAMM...
...check out the Motifator ES forum...
...you may be excited about a hardware device (that uses software to emulate hardware), right?
Have fun at NAMM,
Walker

Maybe you're talking about this post by user Yamaha_US?

I'd be surprised, if SR came out with a line of hardware instruments on their own. They seem to be focussed on samples. But you never know.If you are really a fan of virtual analog synths and original sounds than there is an interesting boutique hardware synth coming at the Winter NAMM that should be pretty exciting.
However it is not from Yamaha.
This new product takes the idea of customizable , modular synthesis into the modern era.
Imagine being able to take different modules ( oscillators, filters, mod sections) from classic synths ( Arp, Moog, Prophet, etc. ) and combine them together to make your own synth. All in one hardware synth without using any of your computer's CPU, but designed so that you can use it in your sequencer as a true VST.

OK, Now I got it.
It's a kind of SonicSynth as a Hardware Unit with a largely enhanced sample set of 40GB. Internal effects are based on the Yamaha code as implemented in their digital mixers and it includes the performance elements as implemented in the next generation of Motifs...

I think it's the upcoming first hardware synth from Arturia ! Yamaha recently became the distributor of Arturia's products, and Arturia said that they will build hardware units, so...

But actually almost all the Virtual Instruments already exists. Some of them having been named by me (The Steinberg VSTIs) and some of them not named.
But add VSTIs like Ueberschall's L.I.S. series and your're almost there. Only thing missing is that they don't automatically interact. But now that I think about it: Maybe it's better to have them as they are - not integrated - that way we'll get results that are way more of individual creation.
