There are definable keys in the normal version (comming soon)..

It plays 16 & 32 bit just fine. Working on this.

My comments ...

1. Plays all my MP3 - various bit rates.
2. Plays WAV 44.1 @ 16 bit
3. Doesn't play 44.1 @ 24 bit (Need this)
4. Doesn't play REX files
5. When the first file is played after a reset (CTRL/1), my firewall blocks AudioPlayer_1 from send a communication. What is this?
6. Plays both stereo and mono WAV files at 16 bit

It is a great tool for pruning sample directories, but you cannot delete the file after AudioPlayer has grabbed it. Must move on to another and come back to delete the file.

WISHLIST
- When Play (~) is pressed pop up a message with sample rate and bit rate and file size.
- If it was really cool, give us an estimate of the BPM - invaluable for poorly defined loops.

- Working on 24bit issue.
- Have not considered adding REX format. Will look into it.
- With regards to firewalls AP does not communicate with network or internet at all. Some firewalls may ask for permission to run AP though.
- For now to stop a file simply ~ somewhere blank on the screen. Working on a toggle.
- Not sure if I can add sample/bit rate BUT I can add file size in a pop up.
- I could do some maths to perhaps give an estimate BPM but it would not be tapped so it would probably be inncorrect in most cases. Will look into it though!

Thanks for the feedback so far.

Ok, so is this supposed to launch WMP to play each file? Cause that's what it does for me. I browse to a directory, put my mouse over a file, hit the ~ key, and it opens WMP to play the file, which also puts the folder BEHIND WMP, meaning I have to reclick on the folder in the task bar each time.

Is this supposed to work this way?

:o

not what happens here,

here it selects the file then plays it straight out your default audio out in windows,

do you by any chance have windows set to one click open files & folders?

Just a quick check in. Sorry for the delay. For 24 bit, I have to ask, does anyone mind if I use Iexplorer running in the background to get it to work properly?

No, my Windows isn't set to open with one click. I did accidentally set that a long time ago and it annoyed me!

But it's surely not that. Maybe I'll retry it? Is there a newer version than the original?

Hmmm, I just tried it again for the first time since my post with problems, and it works fine.

The only thing is now I get that little "bomp" sound on every file I press the ~ key over. Like the sound of when you have a dialog box open and try to click on something behind it without clearing it. When you aren't allowed to click somewhere. Ya know, that noise?

Is it supposed to do that?

Yes. If you are talking about Internet Explorer. I don't use it and don't want it. Surely there's another way.
