Some guy who posts on KVR wrote:Does anyone else find the NAMM acronym to be in bad taste? It reminds me too much of NAM, as in Vietnam. It seems kind of racist to be honest.
You must be a troll.

Viet nam

Vietnam is just the name of a country. Nam is just an abbreviated version. NAMM is even further removed. Even if they called it The Vietnam Music Convention, how's that racist in any way shape or form?

Guess you're trying to be funny [shrug]

Indeed Q2 has also passed, and there has been no new news.
Does anyone have any news or updates on this? Vir2? BigFish?
MOJO is still in development and taking longer than expected. We plan to publish full details on the Vir2 site within a month, and ship it this fall.

Hmmmmm.

Shipping Febraury 2009 according to the NAMM announcements.

Then shipping in March according to their website, which has now slipped back to April. :?

We've been delayed by the Kontakt 3.5 engine, which is vital to how MOJO works. It's in beta-testing now and is looking really good. The minute NI says they're done, MOJO's got the green light!

Oh well.

Good to see that the hold-up is due to NI, rather than because of a number of bugs that need ironing out.

Kontakt 3.5 is bringing some huge improvements. Plus, MOJO is a huge library (>1GB of raw samples per instrument if you load their full versions) and consumes a ton of RAM, even with adventurous DFD settings. We are working in every way possible to optimize the library and make it lean and mean without sacrificing quality. Power users who have a lot of RAM in their machines will absolutely need the improvements in 3.5 in order to work fluidly with MOJO. (But don't despair if you aren't a high-end user -- you can still do all the same work with a less capable computer; it'll just require more freezing of tracks and/or using some of the Lite instruments while sequencing.)

We're going to provide as many options as we can so that you can access all the power in MOJO.

Gee K3 is barely out and already a v3.5? Guess 2010 is the year where K4 is due.

Sure hope not... barely even scratched v3.

3.0 has been out a while -- it was announced in September 2007. That's a long time in the software world. :)

Which delay bug?

We are not involved in the support of Kontakt itself, so the question is better directed at NI through their support or through their forum, however, we're curious to know since it may affect us too, and we can help get the message to the right channels.

K3.5 is long long overdue they seem to be really dragging their feet with it, so if you are using it to develop banks vir2 it cant have that many issues can it? meaning they put it on hold for the NAMM 09 releases... liberty :?
but it could also be a genuine complication, who knows
