Getting abducted by aliens is getting to be quite a common thing nowadays , from what i gather theres no PCs or Macs onboard UFO's so he's probebly having trouble getting intouch with the forum.

Thank you , i have no idea about web design etc i just made it in a few hours with a simple program called Trendy flash

Hmmmm,

I know its none of my business cos I don't have Sylenth 1 and don't know anything about its developper.

But please,

Do try to consider that under certain circonstances in life, people can become unable to communicate during a certain duration (like loss of somedody who was very close, broken love affair, total personal bankrupcy, aso). All things that will make see even your own business like a secondary thing.

I can't believe that someone who made such efforts and put so much love in building a synth during a long time can loose interest into it and its customers so abruptly without a very good (but .... bad for him) reason.

So that I'll just have a thought for Lennard here and hope he's allright and can come back to all of you the most quickly possible.

I've got a Live gig coming up at the end of June so I need Sylenth to be working properly in Project5. I can't be having little stutters here and there on the backing tracks. I've used Sylenth in a lot of compositions so this is a real issue for me.

If we ever hear from Lennard, his excuse better be a good one......

If you depend on Sylenth1 for anything important, and you're having problems with the current version, then I'd really recommend trying to work around those problems rather than hoping for an update to arrive in time. For backing tracks, maybe bounce them to audio? The freeware Helix synth has a similar sound to Sylenth1 in many ways, so if you have bits that you need to perform or tweak in realtime, maybe consider using it for those. It's a bit cumbersome to program compared to Sylenth, but at least you won't be spending even more money.

A €150 synth that doesn't support hard sync or real PWM is a bit underwhelming. I know I bought it expecting such features to be added over time. In the future, I'll only buy synths that offer excellent value, features, stability etc. *now*. I will never again buy a synth with the promise of updates in the future to add missing features or fix problems.

But I agree with Lotuzia, I don't think he'd just disappear on us like this for no reason. Let's hope things get better soon.

I'm already starting to move away from Sylenth - very reluctantly - and I have Helix and a few other synths. It's such a shame, because Sylenth just sounds so good. It may not have all the bells and whistles but that suits me fine. I'm not exactly advanced when it comes to synthesis.

I hope you are well Lennard, and I'm sticking with Sylenth. Nothing in it's category sounds so good to my ears.

Of course I don't purchase software for what it will do for me in the future, only for now. I still use 3 deadware vst's from the past two years (Phrazor, ERA2 and Lucifer) everyday. As long as they work on my os's, Win XP and Vista, which they do, then all is well. Oh, and yes I still use FX Teleport also to connect them up. Last I looked nothing new was happening there either.

Now if Lennard has promised some of you future features personally and that is the reason you bought Sylenth, then you folks may have cause for complaining. However a general "I'm working on a new version for Mac or putting in feature A" is not IMO, a reason to abandon something that works for you. When I bought my Juno 106 back in the day I did not abandon it to only use that shiney new Korg M1, so why would I treat software any differently?

I spend as much time podering and demoing new instruments as the next person, but I limit those excursions because in the end - It's all about the music!

I purchased the product in good faith having read some great reviews about the sheer sound quality. It was only after I had been using it for a while that the stutter issue became apparent. I made some enquiries and a bug was confirmed. Several hosts seem to highlight the same problem.

It was widely known that an update (for this issue and a Mac version) was due early in 2008 - and we are now nearly in May.

I think it is disguting and totally wrong for us to be in this situation. Whatever 'troubles' Lennard may have he should make contact on this forum - or get someone to do so on his behalf.

I wouldn't think about abandon Sylenth. But to be irritated or even pissed off - hoho... there are more than one reason. There are few good reasons not to answer emails or even visit your own support forum. I really don't mind if the non-SE version is delayed. Or the Mac version. But anyone who are still defending Lennards style saying that we should relax, get a grip, stop this childish behaviour, or what ever, makes me tired all over.

A smelly piece of meat is still rotten, even if it's called entrecote. Don't make it sound like anyone who is complaining is a bastard - Lennard is not treating his customers in a good way. Period. Vacation? Hm. I don't know. There is a thing called internet, and it can be used from most places. If you want.

If he chooses to come back to his own forum and explain what's going on - I am delighted. If there will be further versions - I am delighted. But right now there is no Lennard. No updates. No communication.

The rest is just hopes.

But. It's still a good instrument. As it is.

Man, it seems like just yesterday Sylenth was THE synth here at KvR. It appeared in the answer to every "best synth" thread, newbies were being told regularly of it's greatness.
I gave it a try, but found it buggy/limited straight away.
I guess we all can get swept up with the new, greatest thing, but... no hard sync, part SE, no PWM, stutters...

The sound is good, no doubt, which is why I've kept an eye on it's development, but it is what it is, and I always felt the price was just too steep.

C-note is right, I think. You need to buy software for what it can do for you now or you'll end up in this frustration.
You shouldn't ever marry a drunk who promises to get sober, or a free loader who swears she'll get a job any day now.

Just the same, don't give up hope. You've already invested. Breathe deep, cross your fingers, trust that Lennard is a good guy and will come through. You've got nothing to lose at this point.

Lennard teamed up with chainer developer (which inserting sylenth1 inside energyxt or chainer DOES work around this problem). He sent email with a 50% offer for sylenth1 users to get chainer - he knows there are problems.

The stutter problem happened to me as well in FLStudio and all I had to do to fix it was wrap it in chainer. I am not saying this to defend Lennard or the bug or the situation, I am a user just like the rest of us, but it atleast offers you a solution. If you need one, it's a cheap workaround that will also give you a nice microhost.
