What's the verdict? Synthmaker OK on AMD and not on pentium - core and cubase? something else?

with EXACTLY the same hosts/operating system/configuration, on my single core, it takes ages to boot, while on the dual core, it looks fine. my 2 cents...
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

What hardware do you have? Is this only cpu-related or can be chipset problems? I know there were problematic chipsets in past, but I'm not really an expert on the subject ...
Otoh, I'm very curious what's the "problem factor" ...

Bootsie needs a site? I'll say!!!
I'm going away tomorrow until Monday, but if no one bites by then, I'd love to help out. It'd be something quick 'n' dirty in Wordpress, hack a template up, etc; I'm not the greatest coder, but I have a pretty good eye. I'd love to honour a dev with some design work.
like I said, if no one steps up, I'll slap something together. It's getting bloody hard to keep track of bootsie's posts to get the plugins!

Bootsie: Great Programmer! Great Engineer!... Great Plugs....
I've tested Booteq a lot but I can't use it in my mixes because I work on 48kHz.... my question is:
Will it ever be released 48kHz-capable?

man, you think yours is bad? i'm on a single core from January 2002!bduffy wrote:The dual-core is the one with Cubase? My computer's from 03-04, so it beats me hands-down!shogger wrote:OK, man. The computer in the other studio is a DualCore from last year so I thought it couldn't be any "old hardware" reason.bduffy wrote:Sorry, man: that wasn't it. AFAICT, it's my old, single-core machine, which is sputtering to its ignoble defeat.shogger wrote:Bduffy, try it with Reaper please. to see if that does it.

ShoggerI was hoping you'd cracked the code, but looks like I'll suffer a little longer.
Anyways, back to bootsie's greatness.

I really can't promise anything at the moment, I'm so busy. I hear you but it's just a matter of 'resources'. I have a day job and so on ...I've tested Booteq a lot but I can't use it in my mixes because I work on 48kHz.... my question is:
Will it ever be released 48kHz-capable?
Thanks for your support to you all!

Hey B--An AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor-- 2.2Ghz /Ran in old version Orion Platinum. I don't know if it's dual core or hard core. I know some SM productions take forever to load, but never got that one behind preset select like that. I'll try running it again & let you know the results. Thanks--O--

Boots, Ran Density again & got the same odd behaviour. The first few presets selected were fine. When I got toward the bottom of the list is when the delayed selecting started. This has never happened with any of your other stuff. I may have a ghost in my machine.....
