not sure - then you have to concentrate during the whole count-in (i.e. count it), in order not to lose orientation - not ideal when you ned the time to concentrate on other stuff (not slipping or tumbling, not crushing into the microphone stand, etc.mutools wrote:Jens, that delay can then be done by setting e.g. a 4 bar countdown without the metronome. If you need more time, increase the number of countdown bars.

PreRelease B is available on http://www.mutools.com/downloads.html
What's changed:
* Fixed: OSX PowerPC systems: Ogg vorbis samples were loaded in a wrong way
* Fixed: Windows: On first run, samplerate box was too small
* Fixed: When countdown is 0, there was still a single metronome hit on start playing
If you already have installed PreRelease A, you can just copy the new application file into your current mu.lab folder, this way you avoid a resetup.

Confirmed, the Ogg vorbis samples in the Demo now play as they should on my PowerPC MAC.
Also confirmed, window frames are now working as expected on my PowerPC MAC (i.e. the most recently selected window frame is always blue).
Great job!

not a bug by any means and it's been in the other releases but I'm not sure if having all the samples of a multisample default to "alternate loop" is a good idea. "No Loop" is more logical imo.
It's when using the "create multisample using locators" function in Sampla.
I kinda get how it could be fun so it's a total taste/preferences thing I reckon.

I guess it's the only way to guarantee no glitching as the wave repeats, too...

Hm, good point (I think) but wouldn't that be any of the different loop modes rather than 'no loop' ?
Or are you talking about those nasty clicks when a locator doesnt sit at a zero crossing?

It was already tuned to default to "No Loop" some versions ago, but it seems the change was not 100% effective. Fixed in the next version.

Hello,
when having multiple parts on the same track, for example when recording a new part on a track where there is already something, the two parts are covering each other, one above the other. Then I want to drag-and-drop the lower one, but cannot, because when moving the mouse above the lower part, the cursor changes so that I can only resize the part. But I want to move, not resize.
The cursor changes even when I can see a lot of the lower track. Now what to do? I can only resize the track, move and resize it again. Or move the upper one. It's uncomfortable.
Please fix this problem to the next release.
Thank you.

There indeed could be practical issues when having overlaying parts.
First thing to be improved is that when making a new recording on a track, and there is already a part on that track that would be overlaying with the new recorded part, then the new recorded part should go to a new track.
Do you agree?

What would happen in the Free version? Would all the new parts end up on the last track?

ok heres three suggestions:
1) it would be real neat if we could organize (group) vsts inside the vst plugin manager. at the moment, when we add vsts, the menu lets us choose between instruments and effects. me for example, i have more than 20 vst instruments installed so i would like to make the process of finding the right plugin faster. long story short, here is what i would like to see:
CHOOSE VST PLUGIN >> effects >> eq >> list of installed eqs
or
CHOOSE VST PLUGIN >> synths >> drum >> list of installed drum synths
i think this could be easily implemented by allowing the user to create folders inside the vst plugin manager and then letting him further group vsts. anyway, im not sure if this is hard to make coz i dont know much about programming.
2) this is a rather tiny request. u know how the grid lines in mulab are black and dark gray. also, the vertical line which shows the playback position is black. and this can look confusing when u are tired and still working, so i suggest that the playback line should be red and bold so it could be easily distinguished. or maybe green, but i still vote for red.
3) is it just me who dont know how to change this, or has mulab become 'always on top'? this isnt good, we should have a choice. i have to minimize mulab every time i want to access the start menu.
thanks for reading
