Really great skin!.

Tbh I much prefer the previous brown background (the one you posted a pic of a few posts earlier before this most recent post), the one Howard didn't like soo much. I think its perfect!. Has lovely solid sharp feel to it, though I agree that the main grid connecting lines were too bright (I'd prefer that backdrop skin with darker lines than the new darker one though)

Bare in mind I'm still using a CRT with an ageing tube n brightness, and not a TFT monitor (most of which tend to be setup overly bright out the factory) so that could be why. It's about time I replaced this old beasty.

Only thing I'm not soo keen on is the module name font, it just seems slightly smeared compared to the sharpness of everything else. Would be nice if the letters had a similar solid feel about them.

Still an awesome job, I can see myself switching to this skin for making the rest of these Zebra presets as I feel I'd be very comfortable using it!

Ok thanks, so it's a deal, the font goes out of the window! I'll take a look at some bitmap/pixel fonts, the ones that look best and sharpest if you turn off anti-aliasing.

The background will be tweaked, somewhere inbetween the first version and the last version.

I fixed the buttons not looking round, apparently i had to apply a certain amount of gaussian blur to the button image. Zebra resizes the button automatically, causing lots of jaggies. I didn't know it bothered me this much now that i fixed it, it's looking a lot cleaner and sharper!

(P.S. you can't see the fixed buttons yet.)

"Perform - Synthesis - Presets" buttons, top left of the window.
By taking away the glare of the main panel, there seems to be too much glare on the modules
You think so? Personally, I really like the way those slightly shiny modules stand out against the more sombre background in your latest image! If you keep tweaking the details (e.g. the positions of elements in the ModFX), this is going to be a really nice Skin!!

It seems that the spacing of the modules is not an exact science, i've been trying to get them to stay apart a set amount of pixels, but i couldn't find a pattern in the skin script. And the height of the PNG's themselves don't seem to matter much. I guess i better wait untill that edit mode Zebra arrives, if i could i would lower them from the top, so that there is an equal space on the top of the highest module, and the left side.

If you look at the original skin, it seems that the module spacing differs with each module also.

I'll put it on my "todo" list :)

since i don't own a Mac, could anyone with a Mac brave enough try to install this skin, and post instructions here?
It wasn't hard to find where to drop the skin files, but for the sake of documentation:

/Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/u-he/Themes

Thanks for the skin!

It's not ready yet tough, i just got my PC back (upgraded to an AMD Phenom X4), i'm still p*ssed about having to had spent half of my holiday without a comp. So i've been playing Grand Theft Auto 4 non-stop for the past couple days to make up for all the boredom.

I'll probably get back on the skin next week. Thanks for the Mac documentation!
