Thank you very much for this exquisite Xmas present, Menno - really high class useable sounds, very playable, meticulously designed and programmed. They will rate among my firm favourites alongside Michaels and Howards patches, and the Cello and Violin are outstanding. :violin:

Best,

Joey

Great programming, lots to learn from it.

Cheers!

Thanks so much for sharing these. Since you were giving the set away, I assumed it would be a small bank of perhaps 30 or 40 patches...I wasn't expecting something so extensive. Having gladly paid for the sound sets from Howard, Michael, Beej, and Adam, I wouldn't hesitate to pay for your next offering, given how amply you've demonstrated your talent with this set (I'm sure plenty of others would agree). I was especially struck by how great the bass sounds are. I had been thinking of buying a DSI Mopho while it was on special at an online retailer, but once again, Zebra in the hands of a really good programmer has persuaded me that "I don't really need the hardware." You have a real knack for zeroing in on the sweet spots that make a patch sound like a million bucks. Nice work! 8)

Very nice sounds. They tend to be a bit hard on the cpu, but they're very full and rich. Nicely done.

Thanks, these sounds are really wonderful.
I'll certainly use at least some of them in my next tracks.

will post feedback after i get to play with them :)

but from the MP3 & the feedback i'm sure it will be all good :)

yeah, the cpu is the only downside, but this is one of the best soundsets, i know ... and the brass-sounds are not from this world!

There is a bit of a CPU hit on some patches (inevitable when you use two XMF filters in one patch), but if I have to eat up 50% or more of one of my cores for a single patch, I really don't mind if the patch sounds great. That's what track freezing and rendering to audio are for.

It was great fun going through these patches last night and I was very pleased to see that you were not afraid to hit the CPU hard where necessary ;) No point sacrificing quality for efficiency!! Really shows off what Zebra can do, and some excellent sound design too. The string patches through Uhbik-F (the flanger) take on an ethereal quality all of their own.

Keep up the great work!!

Peace,
Andy.
