Well, it kind of looks like everyone's done voting here and by my reckoning it looks like Wavewarping just scraped through into first place - *JOKE*

Wavewarping absolutely stormed it with 36 points! A deserved winner too - I certainly thought it was the best patch out of the lot (including my own  ). For me, first and foremost it sounds really nice, but then almost as important, it is a genuinely playable, useful patch. So well done MCnoone (again! )!

Second and third - someone might need to check this for me - I make it Pingcussion with 19, then Optimus Primordius very close behind with 17 points.

Pingcussion was me - thanks for voting, but tbh it really was an afterthought and I didn't reckon much of it myself (I thought my other patch, Brasso, was much the better, but there you go!).

Optimus Primordius again a deserved winner - though I didn't vote for it myself, I had it on my shortlist.

Honourable mentions for Drone Song with 14 points and Audacious Filter with 10.

Thanks to everyone who took part every patch had something going for it. Thanks also to bmrzycki who did a great job collecting and balancing the patches :tu:

I'll post up the finalised full list of patches with their respective authors and points score tomorrow (if someone else would like to check my totting up that would be greatly appreciated, thanks).

OK then. We germans are more used to speak about things while you brits are more used to be silent about things. But maybe that's just a cultural misunderstanding. :hihi:

What?

If the tally is correct, then I finally cracked the top 3 (woohoo)... to bad I set this as my goal, because maybe I jinxed myself. :hihi:

MCnoone, seriously great skills. Based on sound alone, yours was my favorite, but I only voted you 2nd because I was amazed at how the Audacious Filter worked. It was something I didn't know that could be done... Just saying I don't mind losing to your fine products, although I'm determined to beat you one of these days. Thanks for forcing us all to step it up a notch. 8)

I believe there was a patch in the older version of the Zebra presets, under the XMF patches that did the exact same self oscillating thing. I believe Urs did the preset too. Forgot the name. It's been done before though.

I didn't say it's never been done... just saying I never knew it could be done. That's one of the reasons why I love the contest. I learn something new each time and even if I get my ass handed to me in the next competitions, I'll learn from that as well.

Anyway man... the main point was that you really did have a great sounding patch and it was well deserving of winning. Congrats.

Congrats people! 8)

Hehe, as the first three seats are occupied by people who had already won a Bazille before, it goes to metajack this time!

Cheers,

;) Urs

(sorry for being short worded... we celebrated into my wife's birthday so today I'm a bit blurry in the head)

Congratulations metajack. Enjoy Bazille!

Thanks again to Urs and Michael for providing the prizes for this contest :tu:

Maybe speaking in person about these things while relaxing with a glas o your prefered beverage would clear these misunderstandings up? If you come to Berlin these days ...

Congrats to the winners!

It was fun doing some sound design after quite some time off. Very interesting how different the approaches to such a restricted theme were. Cool.

I've been traveling the last few days, so I hadn't had a chance to catch up here! I'm happy some of you liked my patch, and I'm really excited that I ended up with a Bazille :)

Now I have to go back to work for my next patch!
