I'm on a Macbook Pro. I just opened the skin .bmp:s in Photoshop, saved them as .png:s (not progressive!), put them in the folder where they belong and hey! presto - the new skin was there when I launched UA.Illustrious wrote:I am having this same problem on my Mac, I hope there's some sort of work-around because your skin looks so much better than the stock design.michael2 wrote:thanks for these skins; very nice. my own attempts looked terrible (i'm a musician, not a graphic artist). thanks.Limeflavour wrote:Notice!
I have just got an reply from Eric at AAS about distributing my own skin, I asked if I could share it and they have no problem with that. Eric say there must have been a misunderstanding of some kind, they do allow user skins to be freely distributed. I will point him to this thread by email.
Link at my blog is now active again
edit: can't get them to work on a mac. the original bitmaps are .png, and the new skin is .bmp. tried converting them, switched them out and when I opened ultra analog it was blank (no GUI at all). any ideas what I am doing wrong? really like your skin though.
One thing, though - for some reason, the character backgrounds showed up as pink (magenta), not cyan as in the screen dump. So, back to Photoshop, added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, shifted the phase of magenta to cyan, flattened the image and re-saved. Done!
Best,
