It seems that it's hard to install Kontakt 4. With v4.1 out now (background loading),c1v1lkeys wrote: That was posted May 20, so hopefully it'll be here any day now! They should be more upfront on their website though.
I think that Muse has a lot of work to bring those options available for the Receptor.
NI aren't writing their code on a Receptor...

At the rate their going you'll have the manual memorized and by then will be a Komplete 12.c1v1lkeys wrote:Hopefully it'll be ready by the time I'm done absorbing the manual.
At least the banks/patches for K6 are already there.

The graphic uninstaller shows all the Komplete6 instruments, what a tease.

They're probably working on other things as they usually do. I can't remember seeing a request on this forum for the Bob Papen programs. I have seen many for the K6 upgrade.......c1v1lkeys wrote:haha, hopefully not!mbscpo wrote:At the rate their going you'll have the manual memorized and by then will be a Komplete 12.c1v1lkeys wrote:Hopefully it'll be ready by the time I'm done absorbing the manual.

I'm glad you didn't say a few months as it's now 4 weeks instead of the few weeks as quoted.chalaby wrote:We're sorry about the silence on this. It's no secret that the downside of using a Receptor is the installation of new plug-ins. Once the plug-ins are up and running on Receptor we don't hear about many problems. We certainly wish that plug-in installation was easier, but it's the part of the process that we have the least control over, and therefore the most problematic. Our Direct Install technology was designed to allow users to install their own plug-ins. Our initial release of it fell short of our expectations, but we have learned from it.
In order to thwart viruses and other kinds of malware, the OS providers (Apple and MS) are constantly enabling and changing their security methodologies to protect endusers. Unfortunately this reeks havoc on Direct Install when it is run over a network. People using it for multiple DVD installers like Komplete 5 would discover that a connection lost during the install process would bring it down resulting in a call to us and time wasted for them.
We have been busy reworking our approach and it will be available to customers in the next few weeks. The new approach actually builds the data on the Receptor's drive rather than trying to install it over the network. The new strategy greatly assists with error checking and correction so that the user doesn't have to deal with it and can get to the music making. We have been using this technique internally for several years using a command-line interface. We'll make it available to our key retailers and distributors first and them to endusers shortly after that.
Receptor is never going to support every plug-in in the market, but our goal is to support the best ones and deliver a musical experience that works better than a computer in many music environments.
Hope this explanation will help.

Yes, looking forward to this though. Anything that makes the process more reliable should be a step forward. In addition to Komplete 6 (just got my upgrade in the post today) I'm rather hoping that the long promised EW Play installation will materialise.

In common law jurisdictions, an implied warranty is a contract law term for certain assurances that are presumed to be made in the sale of products or real property, due to the circumstances of the sale. These assurances are characterized as warranties irrespective of whether the seller has expressly promised them orally or in writing. They include an implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, an implied warranty of merchantability for products, implied warranty of workmanlike quality for services, and an implied warranty of habitability for a home.
A computer machine that does not load promised software fails it's implied warranty.
I've had enough Muse. Get the stuff you promised working.

OMG I really hope that this won't take forever... the same for the PLAY Engine of EWQL!!!
At least MUSE could tell us why this is taking so long!!

I recently bought a Receptor 2 Pro + Komplete 6 thinking that the Receptor would be compatible with R6 just to find out that I was wrong. I'm really waiting for the installer that I can get K6 installed on my Receptor. Any updates?

My strong advice- take it back for a refund while you can. I don't see this happening.dewis wrote:I recently bought a Receptor 2 Pro + Komplete 6 thinking that the Receptor would be compatible with R6 just to find out that I was wrong.
