What a great tool. And gorgeous looking too.
Works flawlessly here in Reaper land. The resize-feature alone makes it a winner.

Thank you Max for your generosity.

would you consider a slope feature as used ist SPAN or TRacks Metering Suite (named TILT)?

If your analyser had this and the show-frequency-while-mouseover feature it would be just perfect.

Many thanks. This is a very useful tool.

Thank you very much !

One question though :

Do we ALWAYS have to see the preferences window upon loading the plug, before the actual analyzer is shown ?
Can't it be the usual way, when you have a simple buuton/right click to achieve that ?

Plus : the setting are not remembered... you have to adjust EVERY time the plug... a little PITA

Nevertheless, a GREAT freeby ! THANK YOU SIR !

If you read page 2 you'll find an answer :)

Note that the plugin is supposed to work just the same way as any other VST plugin. I.e. the settings you make are per-instance settings and not global. In other words:
* Keep the plugin inserted and the settings will be saved within your project/song.
* If want to re-use your current settings for another/new plugin instance - save a preset (using your DAW preset facilities).

Later I guess I'll add some function to save current settings as "global defaults" (that would be useful indeed).

---

If you notice something of above does not work (e.g. the settings you made are not saved within a DAW project and/or saved presets do not apply properly), please do not hesitate to report the host application (and its version) you encounter the problem in.

max,
how about:

- 120 bands block style view (additional to the 30, 40 qnd 60 bands)
- as already mentioned, a readout on mouseover for frequency and gain, as a sticky to the mouse?

that would be massive! :)
thanks for the great tool!

I keep looking for "more bands" -> something to rival the Pinguin Audio Meter!

Pinguin meter was my go to analyser for years. That as a vst and i'm sold, i can tell you. 120 bands in block-graphic mode in maxs' analyser. That would be a step forward for sure.

Spectrum Analyzer updated to version 1.03.
This quick update only adds the 'mouse-over' frequency/level readout (in its simplest form: no options, no customization).

Thank you!! :o
