A Zebra album

I'd like to suggest (being the organizational nut that I am)
that we try a couple of tracks where each person contributes 1 or 2 layers, and see how it turns out.
Logistically it presents a bit of a challenge but I think we can do it. For instance perhaps we get someone to lay down, say.....40 ish bars of drums (from Zebra) and pass it on to the next person to see what they develop with the 'drum inspiration" (maybe a bass line), and so on?
Thoughts?

I thought about it... it might be a good idea, but for next cooperation...cybertron wrote: Logistically it presents a bit of a challenge but I think we can do it. I will try to come up with something. My computer has trouble running a lot of Zebras or complex patches, so I've only used Zebra for the odd pad or hyper-morphing solo synth sounds so far, but I'll see what I can do.

I'd love to contribute. I already have two 'all U-He' tracks. It'd be fun to try an all Zebra/Zebrify track. Maybe this would be a good excuse to make a new set of patches.

I would love to hear some zebra tracks from you. It would be really nice if you could make one.justin3am wrote:I'd love to contribute. I already have two 'all U-He' tracks. It'd be fun to try an all Zebra/Zebrify track. Maybe this would be a good excuse to make a new set of patches.
Your track "Back-Lit Moment" gets played et least one time each day here

Late to the thread...I love the idea.
I'll give this a shot, and I also agree with only using the Zebra bundle.
Best regards,
Gino

Could I suggest agreeing on an exact track duration? For example, 88 seconds.
That makes the process really interesting. What can you say / do in a minute and 28 secs? What will you have to leave out? (very important)
This also allows a greater range of artists to appear on the "final" album - assuming there is some kind of community voting / selection process going on here - via Soundcloud perhaps.
NB: 88 just popped into my head ... could be any duration - the point is: short rather than long.

Let's first get some tracks ready. And if we get 7832892² tracks we could make a poll or something like that. But we'll decide this later.mcnoone wrote:Who will decide on the goodness of it though?runray wrote: I think it could be anything you want. But it must be good track!!!
Great idea! People pay more attention to details if they are "forced" to create short tracks! What do others think?rumba_codex wrote:Could I suggest agreeing on an exact track duration? For example, 88 seconds.

And thanks for the many replies
Sadly I won't have much time this weekend. But I'll start monday. Maybe we can make a sticky thread then. Where all the rules are on the first page.
Cheers

Personally I think the time pointed out is too short, but I support a time limit.
Maybe 2:30 minutes might be a better limit.
I've already started.
