What I don't like so much is the C/R copy protection on any software (makes me a bit nervous since the KjaerhusAudio story).
i was very involved with music and digital audio production for quite some time - back in the day i knew a lot of folks who liked the kjarhaus plug's. after a three or 4 year absence i am once again immersing myself with current technologies and attempting to get 'current' with where things are at. I actually was looking around for kjarhaus stuff when i started getting back into music in a more serious way again... i couldn't find anything - what's up with that?

C/R protection is only no problem for users, when it is guaranteed that the developer won't disappear some day.

That's gotta be like kryptonite for an buyer with a must-transfer policy. Do you have it clearly written up somewhere that even if you do decide to actually keep a product you will sell and re-buy it at least once?ttoz wrote:just read the eula.. what a shame.. yet another dev with a no transfer policy

You're right, ttoz.
EAReverb has been designed to simulate real spaces.
My personal choice is usually a medium room, more rarely a large one but usually not a gigantic space.
Even if 'Bounce' and 'Warp' features can be used to get a kind of special effect, they have been designed to improve and polish the (late) reverb and not to be used with extreme settings (but it's always fun to push an effects to its limits ^^).
During the conception phase, I listened to various sounds played in different environments. In order to stick to subjective human feelings, I didn't use any special equipment to get information about what could be heard (just my ears).
Then I did my best to avoid various things I heard in some artificial reverbs that was not obviously observable in the real world.
Though, it has been a lot of lines drawn in many polygons and many days trying to figure out how "smooth" can be translated to a digital thing.

On the transfer policy (EULA):
"You may not transfer the Software or this EULA to another End User. Exceptions may be granted at our discretion if You request such consent prior to concluding arrangements with the party interested in acquiring the Software and EULA."
Actually, your serial number is stored in your user account.
If you sell your serial number to someone else, this person will not be able to register it and then use the software which can be problematic for everyone.
If you contact me before you sell your license, then I will have the possibility to mark your serial number as 'free' and everything will be clear for you, me and this person.
This is a way to avoid a lot of troubles. The buyer will have the opportunity to contact me in order to check if this s/h serial number is legit and most of all, he will be recognized as a legit user.
As a user, I feel a bit nervous when purchasing a second hand serial number. Will I be able to register it? How will I prove that I have legally purchased it in the case of a problem? Will I have to use the user account and the screen name of another user?

You can register up to 4 hardware IDs per serial number. In the case there is a good reason (in the future especially) that justify the need for more registrations, users just have to contact me and I can provide a way to override this registration limit.

Hi loopdon,
1. You can still get it at the intro price but it's a question of hours now.
2. You can sell it later if absolutely needed, but you have to inform me (an email is enough) so I can manually prepare the transfer before the sale is done. This way, there will not be any confusion for you, the buyer, or me.

I've bought EAReverb yesterday.
It's almost impossible to get this thing bad sounding on any kind of material

I am reading cpu usage not from task manager, but from a special window in Sonar, showing all four processors and their usage. Seems like Eareverb makes heavy use of core 1.
