While I think it's a cool idea to mimic the DX7 I also think that the rules would get to complicated this way.

Why not just one rule: Only FMOs and mixers are allowed in the top grid (or however it is called) :)

It would be really great to get a few more entrants again and complete beginners (who may have no idea what a DX7 even is) may be scared by to complicated rules.

Remember the "keys" contest?
The rules were really simple and many people who said that they never created a preset on their own participated.

Just my 2c :)

hmm...I reckon Dennis is right. I humbly withdraw my support for allowing 2 x sine OSCs as well.

I'm having a bit of a busy/messy weekend. :wheee: :drunk:

The official contest details will go up on Monday. Anyone who can't wait until then, well the theme is "FMO Only" (FMO's + MixerMods only in the grid).
