Hello,
Here are my votes for ZPC # 17

#1. - Eternal Peace 3pts. Pretty cool, lovely ambiance, a bit too snappy with MW
#2. - Vario Club Chord 2pts. Pretty cool as well, like the MW action.
#3. - LoFi Chord 1pt. Not much going on but it's a well crafted patch.

Some other patches that I like:

Bach Reonswitched - had fun with this one, enjoying the last notes pretty much also :)
Chord Clouds - Was considering this one for the 2nd place but it's a bit foggy, illusive MW :? ...lovely AT action tho! :)
Ladder to Heaven - Like the tone + the trumpet like character that's fading in. If it had something assigned I would have considered it for my top 3 pick.
Rabbit's don_t like icicles - Funeahh..! :D MW is melting the icicle.. I guess we are all rabbits for not voting for this one!
Senkoru - Remings me of Japanese Nintendo games where you meet some sort of boss enemy: "Senruko" .. that's more like it :P
I also like a lot of other patches .. too bad some of them are not optimized at all.

Cheers and good luck! :)

1. chordata+ 3pts
2. Corpus Fugit 2pts
3. Bach Reconswitched 1pts
Very high quality this month - plenty of well programmed, eminently usable patches! My shortlist wasn't all that short and many patches only narrowly missed out on the top 3. Hint - having some assigned XYs often tips the balance.

Strummer - 3 - will tweak a few versions of this and add the "+" sign ... so definitely use it and learn from it (some others that didn't get votes fit this category too)

Corpus Fugit - 2 wow. DREAMY! that's a lovely sound. i don't think it really even is 100% on theme for this contest challenge ... but Fugit! it's DREAMY... :)

Bach Reonswitched - 1 such amazing program skills probably deserve more pts but I am not likely to use it

this was my very first KVR contest and i have to say i had even more difficulty voting than deciding which of my own patches to submit -- and then there's the whole wow!… that-great-patch-only-got-that-many-points-so-far? criteria… a lot of you voted for those already...meanwhile, do pyrotechnic programming skills trump out more beautiful and usable sounds? mmm not necessarily… but I appreciate the work EVERYBODY put in… and even more so if/when I can dig in and learn a new trick from the patch! eg ChordComplex7 and the MW and Pitch Bend major/minor changes :)

1. Corpus Fugit
2. dance2env
3. Show Me The Finger

Not easy, not easy... I like some patches soundwise, others from a technical view. Technically nailed Chord Complex the One-Finger-Chord theme excellent.

Many good patches, THANK YOU ALL!
It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

Boy this was tough! I had to create a grid to whittle it down to 3... should've used the hat...

1: chord data +
2: Chord Complex #7
3. Major Tomita +

Runners up: Eternal Peace and Big Pad Major +

Like I said before, so many great ones in this roundup! A call for tighter criteria? (please don't shout! ;) )

I would suggest to keep the scoreboard for the last moment surprise. I don't see the point in keeping a tally through out the voting period open. What value does it add?

The argument is that it makes the process more exciting, like an auction or a horse race. I personally hate both, so I'm on your side on this. Also, IMO, the price to pay for it is that it also makes it possible to be influenced by other people's votes and in the very worse case, for voters to swing the vote; however I have been assured that the people here are among the most honest and forthright in the world. :D

BTW: the argument does have some validity in this ZPC: at this time we have a neck to neck race... can you hear the pounding of the hooves? The snorting of the stallions? Can you feel the electricity in the air as each of these astounding Zebra presets struggles against earth and wind to liberate themselves from the clutches of defeat and claim their rightful place in history on the throne of victory?

Nah... but apparently some do :hihi:

Well well, we have a bit of a problem here. :) Technically voting is closed but we have a tie for #1, the first time this has happened in this event!

Looks like we need some sort of sudden death rules. I'm thinking we hold the contest open another 24 hours and anyone can vote for one of the top 2 presets again. Each vote is worth 1 point and the one with the most votes wins.

Of course, if ether patch author wants to yield victory then the other would win by default.

I'm very much open to suggestions here guys since this is everyone's contest, not just mine!

Rock, paper, scissors anyone? :hihi:
Splitting the Soliton patch bank in half is a thing,,, but how do you split a Zebra in half? :D

I know how we could do for a Zebra...but i love animals so i'll not say anything! :hihi:

I would suggest go with the number of 3pts votes if that's a tie then number of 2pts and so on...

Major Tomita 3pt votes = 3
Corpus Fugit 3pt votes = 1

Or, on a second thought, why don't we announce both of them as winners. But, I'm not sure whether we are allowed only one prize or more.
