Ok: I've just tried Cumulus with Samplitude Music Studio 15 (doesn't appear to be a demo for v16, or at least I couldn't find one. If anyone knows any different: I'm listening!) and it seemed to work fine. It could, of course, be a difference between Music Studio 15 and 16, or it could be something specific on your system. Either way, a crash log would be a great help in tracking down the problem. Thanks!

Ok, thanks for your speedy reply! I will try and find a crash log but may not be able to do so until tomorrow I'm afraid. Any indication where I might find it?

Hope it can be sorted, the plugin looks pretty handy :)

That's fine - when you get a chance, you should find the log in Vista's Event Viewer: more details here. I actually have an idea what it may be, but I'd like to get my hands on a log before I start suggesting that you tweak Data Execution Prevention options.

thanks

i would like an alternative action on the link button
so that it preserves the ratios between slices
eg: maintaining pitch relationships etc.

looking forward

Good suggestion. I've actually a similar feature in the pipeline for Shift, in which you can group voices, and then tweak them on the XY Pad whilst maintaining the relative differences between them.

Video demos... I've given my desktop 5 BSOD's trying to set up video record with audio using both Camstudio and NCH Capture neither will work on my W7 x64 machine(I'll check all drivers and such)I did get a good one to gather on my Vista x32 laptop but when I uploaded to youtube it the video stuttered(usually for music, right!?! HeeHee, ohhh the irony!) and the audio was really bad so I deleted it. I give it another shot Saturday.

Does Cumulus have a Linux version ? Reading CM presentation, it's not clear.
You can't always get what you waaaant...

We certainly gave them Linux 32-bit and 64-bit builds of Cumulus, but I'm not sure if they decided to include them. Perhaps someone who has the issue can confirm if it comes with the Linux versions? If it doesn't, I'll contact Computer Music and see if I can convince them to bundle the Linux builds on forthcoming DVDs.

The linux versions were included, but the 64-bit archive seems to be corrupt. I could see the 32-bit archive OK, but it seems the .tar file for the 64 bit version isn't right. :-(

The following error message is generated:

tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors

Edit: just checked, the archive is only 2k in size.
