Use the Demo? Or I could contact Rich and see if he's interested in working with you on the issue.... :)
When you said "saving presets" I understood as saving preset settings in session. If that is working then it's definitely a permissions issue.

I'm actually going to introduce this. When user saves the presets they can change their folder and SM will remember this folder. This request actually came from a producer. This way you dont have to save presets under \Program Files :tu:
Please do this bulent i want all my basses/leads/pads in seperate folders as i said in email the other night im all over the place here, i don't know what the f**k iv'e got so now im naming as follows

Bass 01
Bass 02
Lead 01
Lead 02
Pad 01
Pad 02

it's better than naming stuff as it's a pain in the arse mate.. anyways fancy names for presets bore me and take more time thinking about than making sounds..

Folders please

You mean subfolder under author?

Like:

Rob Lee Expansion 1\Pad\Pad1.smpr
Rob Lee Expansion 1\Lead\Lead1.smpr

...

etc?

I'm on Win XP....it's not a permission issue. I mean saving Presets from the Synthmaster GUI...."Save" and "Save As" simply do not work in Orion while they do work perfectly using Sonar X1....and Reaper 4.10 :)

I mean this...

1. Rob Lee (main folder)
2. Sub Folder Arps
3. Sub Folder Bass etc etc

At the moment im just lost if i don't name all these presets as follows:

Bass 01
Bass 02
Pad 01
Pad 02
SEQ 01
SEQ 02

etc etc

IMO i should be able to create any named folder i like because all im doing is making 25 presets then moving them to my desktop and starting on another 25 however when i import them back into my folder "Rob Lee" they are there in the actual folder but are not visible in the SM Browser..

Maybe I'm missing the point but you can create any folder you wish by naming it in the Author line in Preset Information......Rob Lee Basses 1 etc.....doesn't help for sub folders

In the VST Plugin folder I choose I have more than one subfolder associated with SM2. There are Presets, Resources, Partial Presets. Would like all look like this: C:\SawstudioLite\Vstplugins\SM2 and then of course the DLLs will be in root of the ...Vstplugins

Make sense?

Moving folders after the fact is not the point. When installing it sends to the VSTFolder. I was trying to be helpful in explaining that you wouldn't install, i.e, to C: Windows and tell users to move it afterwards. You send to one folder and its' yours. Some folks install the readme and the license file and the PDF into the root folder. It doesn't make sense to do so is all I'm saying.

Well i didn't know this about the Author line in all the time iv'e had SM it's just that on some i hadn't bothered to name anything on thr Author line and some i did but now it must be the ones i hadn't named that aren't showing up no more.. f**king pain in the arse for sure.. i can't be bothered tonight i'll check into this tommorrow.
A simple system like Dune or Sylenth would have been better IMO but nevermind.

Cheers

Now I got it :dog:

I'll think about how that can be done using the installer I am using.
