I wouldn't term it "a little FM" since it actually defines the whole soundolikana wrote:yes there is a little fm

btw the Pro One had a great FM
Pro One? See here for an actual Pro One attempt http://www.unease.se/proone.htm (don't be fooled by the crunchy percussion - the brass lead has little of the originals grit
It's an obvious suggestion, but not a good one. You want to grit up the oscillators, which is different from applying distortion to the whole thing, since it'll just mask the difference. The Arp 2600 (supposedly used on the original) does allow that sort of grit with no "amp" required.and suggestion for extra grit would be probably put it though and amp cab sim like guitar rig or something...that's how the original was recorded.(from an amp)
Your preset isn't necessarily closer to my ears (using the Moog module). The key isn't so much the module, it's more about how the FM is applied to the oscillatorsedit: checked your preset...you are using the wrong modules imo. with moog oscillators and filter u'd get much closer. (it's missing the right fuzz)
As I said, if someone knows how to apply a similar level of grit to the oscillators in Diva, without it sounding like noise, then let us know. Otherwise it'd be nice to see something added in the modifications which helped out there since it's helpful for "dirtier analogue" sounds
