Imagine something along the lines of "Roland licenses D-50 waveforms to u-he" or "Eric Persing contributes Zebra patches", but neither of those it is (even though I wouldn't mind any of these to happen as well)

Exciting! :)

Trust me guys, I'm very excited and it totally screws my mind that I'm tied to NDAs in both cases.

whats stopping you from, lets say, making another kvr account and casually leaking a nice press release on this forum from said kvr account? ;)

Liars. Oh wait - actually the word is pronounced 'lawyers'.

Nothing stopping us from wildly speculating...

The release of Howard's Zebra patches for Hans Zimmer (already hinted at elsewhere)?

This control surfaces idea mentioned in a recent thread?

Some kind of partnership with Stephan Schmitt (just left NI to set up a new company... and didn't Urs mention that he'd visited recently? meets the "hell froze over" criteria and would warrant an NDA)?

Something to do with Urs' sampler that isn't a sampler concept (possibly combined with the above)?

A hardware version of Tyrell with a u-he VA engine?

I'm hoping for a Clippy Howard button in Zebra. "I see you're trying and failing to make a granular-esque space pad. Do you want me to do it for you?"

I can think of a couple of names to substitute for "Eric Persing" in that phrase that might tie in with the hell froze over bit...

yes, eric persing is very much a tool, not to mention his products (trilians pretty cool tho)

I'm very curious about Nonlinear Labs myself... he hinted at some very interesting stuff...

More food for rumours: Met Andy from Cytomic and Skot from FXpansion last Saturday, both of Vellocet fame. We really just had a bunch of drinks. A whole lot, to be precise :)

(I don't think any suggestion is even close though)

Three great minds coming together like could only mean one thing, a giant supersynth. More super than the rest of our feeble minds could even contemplate

Hahaha, seriously, none of these, and not even close.

(I know I know - once it comes out it's all *yawn* and "why the hype?" :hihi: )

(on a positive note, the last week of vacation in Australia has started, I'm eager to go back to work)

That wouldn't happen to be architecture waveforms now would it?
Nope. The problem with those is, we would have to build special oscillators/modes and deliver them in a proprietary format. If we made them available with the current means (e.g. oscillator presets) we would have to somehow prohibit preset sharing, as the waveforms are stored in preset. So basically we would have to buy a full license for a comprehensive set, which at the moment I'm not prepared to do.

That said we have juggled some ideas and talked to Andrew, but I haven't found the time to see it through.
8) ... and thank you for the details/explanation.

O.k. now this is curious, as that expression implies that NO ONE will/would have guessed this could ever happen, in a "not a chance in hell' kinda way, in contrast to not likely to happen, even "in your perfect world" (but SURPRISE surprise) kinda way.

Hmmmm... too early to be into any NDA's I'm thinkin', but THIS guy: would be my (personal) wet-dream to see you get involved with...
