Honestly if you want something analog just download the UHE Tyrell N6 for free and work with that. If thats not good enough for you save up for DCAM synth squad.

All the other tips are good too.


Try sidechaining with saturation, EQ.


Another thing you can try is, shutting massives filters off and using a filter plugin like the Korg MS20, Fabfilter Volcano or Fxpansions Etch.

You can also reduce the OSC volume going into the filters, and make up the gain on the master out.

This can change the sound of the filters really nicely.
