Any tricks to get Massive sound less digital?

I think choice of compressor effects, or something similar.

Set to ultra mode, cut the highs, put a analogue emulated compressor after this, play with the filter cut-off and decrease resonance.

Do you know any good vst plugins analogue emulated compressor?

I always thought the only reason to get Massive is to have a digital sounding synth in one's arsenal.

Yea, Massive sounds, well, massively digital to me.

It also sounds very, very much like Massive, and it's kind of unique. But I suppose if its one of the few synths you have, you might be groping for ways to get more out of it.

If you want it to sound analog, use it like an analog synth: use only basic waveforms with no wave scanning, slightly detune them from each other, and ever-so-slightly modulate the frequency with an lfo to add a bit of instability. Only use one filter, or perhaps configured as lowpass and highpass. Simple ADSR envelopes. Keep the effects to a minimum. Maybe a touch of distortion?

and i get something analog feel for another synth when i used Logic Amp designer similar things maybe work also for this.

Sounding digital is what I like about Massive.

However, you could also use a Tape Emulation like Ferric or Reel Bus to give some 'analogue warmth' to Massive.

Basically what I was going to say. Massive is good at modern, digital, highly processed sounds. Sure, it can pull off some more analog style sounds with some effort, but why go through the trouble when there are dozens of synths out there (even free ones) that do a much better job?

Run Massive in Ultra mode + ValhallaÜbermod.

How to "let Massive didn't sounding digital":
- use only saw/tri/sine & squ waveforms
- very light detuning on each osc with different range by a tri/sin lfo
- use the amp noise as subtile background soundlayer
- don't use phase offset's through the mod-osc
- don't use blend/spectrum option in the osc's
- prefer to use the daft filter instead of the lowpass, sounds just a little bit more charming
- use a very small amount of glide with smooth attack on the parameter
- trim the soundpicture with the eq till it sounds in your ears more analog as before
- use the brauner tube instead of tele or classic, the brauner will effect more the deeper frequencies

Additional for maybe more liveness in the sound
- lfo on cutoff, reso with a very low modulation amount
- velocity as mod-source for cutoff

Anyway, Massive is an awesome synth and it's pretty clear that his concept isn't to be an analog wonder. The strength of massive are complex soundscapes, wild bass and synthsounds, that's why so many edm or dubstep musicans using it as main weapon.
If you looking for one very close analog-like sounding synth, try U-He Tyrell(freeware)

Those are great tips. :)

If you are just really into the workflow and routing in Massive you might give FAW Circle a try.
It has very very similar layout to Massive, but with a bit mellower sound. More importantly though, it allows you to load your own wavs. Loading some single cycle wavs from analog hardware into it can give some pretty thick tones.
I actually use it exactly when I dont want Massive's harshness.

run a tape emu after it (like nebula or VTM) - that should round off the digital stuff
